Ready to relax and rejuvenate? Let me introduce you to Claire Speller, our newest AccessMedicine MedSpa esthetician. Claire is a graduate of Beaufort County Community College, where she earned her Associate's degree in Science and CNA licensure. She furthered her education at The Spa Academy in Murfreesboro, NC where she obtained her esthetics training. She previously worked at the Cheveux Salon in Edenton prior to joining our team.

The community is invited to come and celebrate Traci Stephens, beloved clinical manager at AccessMedicine. Traci has been a huge part of our success at AccessMedicine, as an integral part of our team since the inception of the practice. We want to send her off well with a farewell social on Friday, September 5th. This will be floating, so please come when you can between 4pm-6pm.

A message from our very loved, Traci Stephens:

"It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 11 years since Dr. Manning asked me to take a leap of faith with him and open his own practice. Working at AccessMedicine has been so much more than just a job to me, it has been part of my ministry and who I am. It has been such a blessing to me that you have allowed me the privilege to take part in your medical care and by doing so, you have become family to me. As many of you know, my husband is a Pastor, at this time the Lord has called him to another church in the Garner area. Unfortunately, I am not able to move AccessMedicine with me, thus my time here has come to an end. Although I may be helping with the transition virtually for a short time. I will always be thankful for AccessMedicine and each of you and the part you have played in my life."

We are tremendously sad of course but excited for Traci and Larry as they take this next step in ministry. I am so thankful that almost 11 years ago, she said yes to the dream of AccessMedicine. She is as much a part of that vision as anyone. We wouldn't be here without her time, hard work and talent from the very beginning. Although we will miss her so much, I have no doubt that God has great things in store! Go and serve! You always have a place at AccessMedicine. With love and appreciation,

Welcome the newest addition to the AccessMedicine family, Dr. David Gilbert!!

**Dr. Gilbert is taking new patients of all ages!!**

AND today is his birthday! Happy Birthday Dr. Gilbert, we are so excited to have you at AccessMedicine!

Dr. Gilbert, a Pitt County native, is excited to join AccessMedicine. He graduated from Greenville Christian Academy before earning his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and his MD from ECU's Brody School of Medicine in 2010. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where he also served as Chief Resident. After a year as faculty at U of L, he returned home to Winterville.
For the past decade, Dr. Gilbert has held various roles at Brody, including course and clerkship director and Interim Associate Dean for Medical Education, all while maintaining an active clinical practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. His growing frustration with the traditional medical system's barriers to care led him to explore the Direct Primary Care model, recognizing its benefits for patients, families, and communities.

Dr. Gilbert has a special interest in promoting wellness through lifestyle choices like food and exercise, while offering a broad range of medical treatments and in-office procedures. He and his wife, Heather, homeschool their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, playing guitar, and is learning to garden. Dr. Gilbert is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all his patients, guided by Jesus’ teaching to love our neighbors as ourselves, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Please consider seeing The Firing Squad movie this weekend. It is a true story about a drug dealer who accepts Christ before he is executed for his crimes in another part of the world. I don't want to spoil the ending because it is incredible but this movie is important enough that my family has financially invested in it. It is only in the theaters starting today for a short time. The goal of the creator of the movie is to win a million souls for Jesus. Please tell your family, friends, and church members.
