The Arc of Beaufort County The Arc of Beaufort County is an advocacy nonprofit organization.

The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We encompass all ages and more than 100 different diagnoses including autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, and various other developmental disabilities.

We Need Your Help! The Arc of Beaufort County is waving its hands for your support!! 🎉✨🙌🏻

We invite businesses and individuals to support the 2026 Arc With a Spark event on 3/28 at the Civic Center. Your sponsorship is vital for aiding individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Funds raised will provide six weeks of enriching summer day camps for children and young adults. As a sponsor, you gain visibility and recognition in our community while supporting a meaningful cause, with tax-deductible contributions. If sponsorship isn't possible, consider donating items for the raffle or silent auction, like gift cards or certificates. The winner will be revealed at The Arc With a Spark event on 3/28/26 & you do not need to be present to win! We couldn't have achieved this success without the incredible support from our amazing community, partners, & businesses. If you have reserved at ticket & would like to pay via credit card, please reach out to us at thearcofboco@gmail.com to request an online payment link. For payments by check, make all checks payable to The Arc of Beaufort County-AWAS and send them to PO Box 124 - Washington NC 27889. Whether paying online or by check, please include your name, table host, number of tickets, & phone number. 🙏

All reserved tickets must be paid for by January 31st. Starting February 1st, any unpaid tickets will be made available first to those on the waiting list, and then to the general public. If you have any questions, please contact us.🎟️

Hello,
This Saturday, January 10th the Saturday Night Jamboree will be hosting their monthly dance for our intellectual and developmental disabled adults and their caregivers.
We'll enjoy a New Year's Eve celebration theme on Saturday, January 10th 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Redman Lodge, 503 E 3rd St, Washington, NC. Light dinner will be served. For more information visit www.SNJNC.com and follow us on Facebook

Though we always enjoy seeing everyone in attendance, it is cold and flu season and to help prevent the spread of a cold or flu we ask you to stay home if you aren't feeling well. We will see you at our February 14th Valentine's day dance.
We encourage those who attend and are immunocompromised to bring and wear a mask.

Special Announcement! 📣
We are thrilled to share the details of our upcoming 2026 Arc With a Spark!!! Tickets will be available for purchase starting 1/2/26! Arc With A Spark is a cherished event that unites our community for an evening filled with fun, music, and support for a meaningful cause. All proceeds will benefit our six-week summer camp for children and young adults with IDD.

The event will take place on Sat. 3/28/26 at the historic Washington Civic Center, promising a memorable night featuring live music by the Special Occasion Band, delicious hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing. Doors will open @6:00 PM, with heavy hors d’oeuvres served beginning at 6:15 PM. The Special Occasion Band from Winston-Salem will entertain us from 7-10PM. The dress code is dressy casual, perfect for dancing and enjoying the night with friends.

Individual tickets are $60 each. A table for eight can be reserved with a commitment of $480.00, which can be paid by each individual or couple. If you wish to purchase tickets, become a sponsor, or donate a gift certificate, please reach out to any of the following individuals:

Fun times were had by all at this year’s Christmas Dinner special hosted on December 4th at the First Baptist Church by The Arc of Beaufort County for adults with IDD in our community. As you can see, we also had a visit from Santa himself.
