Hello, wonderful friends!

Tomorrow marks one year since my unilateral mastectomy. This journey has been long and challenging, and I've learned that healing doesn't simply end when active treatment does. It’s a continuous path, and I’m grateful for every step forward.

As I gradually increase my working hours, I’m reminded of the unique challenges of being self-employed. Without the luxury of "paid days off" or "paid sick days," the past year has been a financial struggle. I’ve maxed out my credit cards just to keep up with bills, and I haven’t quite managed to cover everything.

I understand that many of us are facing tight budgets and tough times, and your support means the world to me. If you’re able, here are some wonderful ways you can help:

⭐️ Donate to and/or Share this fundraiser because sharing is caring. https://gofund.me/c19ee7c3
💵 Shop at Camas Plant & Gift - we ship nationwide and have lots of new goodies in store. www.camasplantngift.com
🧘‍♂️ Join a yoga or fitness class at LiveWell Camas.

I'm working as many hours as I can to regain stability. Anyone who knows me knows I’m no stranger to hard work. I’m just trying to find my footing again with as much grace as possible.

Thank you for your love and support. It truly makes a difference.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Jax

Day 329 of this breast cancer journey. 329 days of holding space for myself as I move through cancer treatment. 11 months of doctors appointments, blood draws, surgeries, chemo treatments, radiation sessions, support groups, therapy sessions, recovery, tears, anger, rest, doing my best to find joy in the small things, and documenting this journey.

Over the course of the last year I have met incredible people whom are now lifelong cancer buddies, I lost someone very important to me to cancer and I miss his encouragement and his quips every single day, thanks to community support I have kept the business alive (barely but alive nonetheless) and I have irrevocably changed.

Tomorrow day 330 I finish my final day of radiation. I move on to the next phase…survivorship. It feels overwhelming, exciting and scary all at the same time. The same quote by Mary Oliver keeps playing on a loop in my head “what will you do with your one wild and precious life?”
