Every time I’ve given birth, my immediate thought has been, “Thank God that’s over. I never want to do that again.” And yet, despite the exhaustion, there’s no denying that childbirth is one of the most awe-inspiring experiences imaginable.
It’s not just about bringing life into the world—it’s about what it demands from you. The physical endurance, the mental fortitude, and the emotional mindset you have to step into are unlike anything else. It pushes you to confront every limit you thought you had and go beyond them.
Childbirth is raw, intense, and messy, but it’s also transformative. It strips you down to your most vulnerable state and then fills you with a strength you didn’t know or maybe forgot, was possible.
It’s not just about the baby—it’s also about you, the birther, the overcomer. And while I may say, “Never again” in those first raw moments, time has a way of softening the edges of pain, leaving behind the deep, unshakable pride and gratitude. Gratitude not just for the life you’ve brought into the world, but for the strength and resilience you discovered in yourself.
Going into 2025, I carry my newborn and the reminder of the strength it took to bring her into this world. Her birth on January 1 was a powerful start to the year—a testament to perseverance, resilience, and the beauty of new beginnings.
This will be a year of perseverance, growth, and truly living. A year to honor the strength within me, to embrace challenges, and to cherish the lives I’ve been blessed to bring into this world. ✨🤍
