💙💛 October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month! 💛💙

At Guidepost Pediatrics, we believe every child’s journey is worth celebrating. Children with Down syndrome bring incredible joy, determination, and strength to our community — and we’re honored to walk alongside them every step of the way.

Our therapists collaborate across occupational, speech, physical, and behavioral therapies to help each child reach meaningful milestones — from building fine-motor skills and speech sounds to mastering balance, feeding, and daily independence.

This month, we celebrate the beauty of inclusion, advocacy, and the unique abilities that make each child shine. 🌟

🌟 Today at Guidepost Pediatrics, our providers and tutors teamed up to deliver powerful interventions in expressive and receptive language disorders as well as other speech and communication challenges.

🎤 Our speech therapists focused on building sound recognition, word families, and blends, while our tutors reinforced these skills through structured literacy practice.

🤝 This interprofessional collaboration between therapists and educators ensures that every child receives consistent, research-based support across therapy and academic settings — helping them grow in confidence, comprehension, and communication.
