Job Description
The primary purpose of the Program Manager is to direct, coordinate, maintain, and manage all functions of the assisted living/group home(s) they oversee. This position will assist ALL staff in abiding by company policies and procedures and carrying out tasks/responsibilities requested or assigned by the Director of Services/ Program Administrator. This position is highly concerned with ensuring the ongoing safety of all clients and staff, including adherence to all applicable federal, state, local, safety and health, fire and life safety, and sanitation regulations/laws. This position actively works with Residential Advisors (RA) and Direct Support Providers to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas and improving service delivery/quality. In addition, this position proactively assesses, maintains, and works to improve client service and wellbeing. The Program Manager will ensure clients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.

Responsibilities included but not limited to the following:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the assisted living home for compliance with State of Alaska licensing standards.
See the assisted living plan or POC and general service program(s) for each resident is being carried out thoroughly and completely.
Conduct screening of potential residents for placement and serve on any necessary planning committees.
Supervise direct care staff to ensure they discharge their duties appropriately and meet all standards of performance.
Oversee the training of direct care staff to ensure they meet all onboarding, annual, and irregular/remedial training requirements.
Forward recommendations to the Administrator as appropriate for the final decision on all major items.
Maintain close contact with contracting social service agencies and all other involved agencies/ individuals to guarantee thorough communication, accountability, services, and consistent treatment programming.
When necessary, complete public relations work with other local agencies, the neighborhood, and the community.
Always protect the confidentiality of all residents.
Prepare the food budget and purchasing of food/other necessary supplies under the established budget and prepare menus in accordance with acceptable nutritional standards.
Prepare necessary reports and submit them to the Administrator as appropriate.
Assist the Residential Advisors (RA) when necessary to maintain a system to account for resident’s personal allowance.
Notify the Administrator of any major maintenance problems that occur within the home.
Assist the Residential Advisors (RA) when necessary, in the best interest of the residents and recipients in any emergency.
Arrange the transportation of the residents to outside activities, and to facilities needed for physical and dental health care.
Monitor the distribution of prescribed medications.
Ensure the daily routine operation of the home (e.g., mealtimes, resident job assignments, etc.) is maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Ensure subordinate staff completes all progress notes correctly.
Related duties that may be assigned as necessary.
Education/Knowledge/Experience Requirements
The Program Manager must meet at least two of the following criteria:
Documentation of a baccalaureate of higher degree in gerontology, health administration, or another health-related field, demonstrating to State of Alaska DHSS’s satisfaction that such degree work is an equivalent to the required experience; or
Documentation of completion of an approved management or administrator training course and at least on year of documented experience relevant to the population of residents to be served as a care provider, if the administrator will be providing direct care in the home; or
Documentation of completion of a certified nurse aide training program approved by the Board of Nursing under 12 AAC 44.830, or that is equivalent in content to the requirements of 12 AAC 44.835(c), and have at least one year of documented experience relevant to the population to be served; or
At least two years of documented experience, relevant to the population of residents to be served as a care provider, with documented skills or training relevant to the population of residents to be served.

Seeking a mature, socially developed Office Assistant/Case Manager/Direct Support Provider
This is forty (40) hour per week 9 am to 5 pm Mondays thru Fridays. Very Seldom Saturdays
Must be able to do twelve (12) hours a week of DSP (day Hab) with individuals with special needs. Must be able to do fourteen (14) hours a week of office assistant
Must be able to do fourteen hours (14) a week of case manager
Typical Duties include but not limited to:
• Assist Director of Services ensuring effective compliance of Group Home
• Reading therap notes and keeping track of number of hours serviced for each client
• Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
• Developing, monitoring and evaluating Plan of Care, Assistant Living Plans and progress of clients
• Maintain trusting relationships with clients, clients’ family members, guardians, and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be respectful to all co-workers and have a team attitude.
Must be:
• A mature minded individual
• A team player
• Flexible/adaptive/responsive to support daily operational needs
MUST HAVES
Attained High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) but Prefer at least Associate Degree
Credentials / licenses / certifications: First Aid and CPR
Months of experience: at least one (1) year preferred but not required. Willing to Train
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid Driver's license.
Current car insurance
Reliable transportation
Negative TB test done within the last year
Negative Covid test (Current)
Pass a federal background check.
Time Management and decision-making skills
Must be able to contributes to the professional reputation of Bright Horizon Homes LLC.
