It has recently come to my attention that a fake profile for my business has been created on a website called 7Cups. I have never been affiliated with them and they may have used AI to generate the post from real listings I have made. I have filed an FTC report since there is not much else I can do about it. Please do not link or use 7Cups for anything related to me.

We are fortunate to have many resources for people having mental health struggles that didn't used to exist. For example, just dialing 988 is a way for people in a crisis situation to connect with someone without having to involve police, which can be scary. There are also things called "warm lines" which are for people who aren't in dire crisis, but do need to call someone for support if they don't have anyone else they can call in a moment of need. Unfortunately our "warm line" options in Alaska are very limited and it is something we need to expand. But there are some out of state options that do take calls from other states, and it can be worth looking into if you don't feel like you've got someone when you just need a good listening ear to talk to.

I'm happy to say this month marks five years since I left community mental health and the opening of my private practice in Wasilla. In that time I've helped over 100 people through. I'm excited for the next five years and everything beyond!

More clouds and rain, must be fair time! I'll be out of the office for Labor Day but I'll be back to normal business hours the day after. Enjoy some fair food if you haven't already!

It is the middle of summer even if it doesn't look like it! I'll be taking off the 3rd of July instead of the 4th this year. If I miss a call or email from anyone that day I'll be sure to get back to you later in the week. Happy 4th everyone!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and have a happy any other holiday you may celebrate this time of year! I'll be out of the office the last week of December but I look forward to starting out strong with everyone the first week of January. There may even be an open appointment slot or two! I'll be out of the office 11/23-11/25 for Thanksgiving. The holidays can be tough for people but I encourage everyone to make time to spend with those you love this Thanksgiving. It's important to stay connected with who/what matters to us.

I've heard that finding a counselor with openings in the valley can be difficult right now. If you're in need of help sooner rather than later I've got a few appointments available every week in the afternoons right now. If you've been thinking about giving therapy a try all you have to do is give me a call to see if I could be a good fit without possibly having to wait a few months!
