HaPpY 7 Year Anniversary!!! Holy Moly!!! Chip & I had no idea how crazy & wild this adventure would actually be!!! We have the most incredible staff in the world & if you know, you know!!! We are a family~ we are a team~ we are the BEST of the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! We have never stopped growing & have even more Moose Creek babies on the way!!! Our “Littles” make the world a much brighter place & when you hear them get excited saying “bubbles”, “show’s over” & “I did it!”, your heart melts!!! One of our “Littles” has a crush on Hoda & some of our bigger “Littles” have been “student of the month” repeatedly & others are creating some of the most incredible art you’ve ever seen!!! Our “Littles” are our pride & joy!!! Some of our biggest “Littles” have played college sports & were absolute rock stars on the fields & have graduated & continue to shine bright!!!

My heart smiles every time I pull into the parking lot because I’m so proud of our crew & what we stand for!!! We have been through so much together~ we laugh together, we cry together, we make up new cuss words together, we celebrate together, we figure things out together, we go to the “Cry Room” together, we live together, we die together~ and you know what?!? Together is a great place to be!!! When I add to the list of things we have survived over the years, it makes me want to laugh & cry at the same time~ we’ve survived Jackwagons who don’t know how to drive (clocked at speeds of 110 mph~ our staff pulled them out of flames & saved their lives by the way), we’ve survived Jackwagons who have tried to hang out in our parking lot after hours, we have survived a Jackwagon who actually broke in to our clinic on Thanksgiving (he’s still in jail & we’re still cleaning up that mess~ stay tuned!), we have survived 103 mph winds, we have survived earthquakes, we have survived blizzards, we have survived “online reviews” & people making comments that have never even been patients at our clinic, we have survived insiders becoming outsiders~ And 7 years later, we will stand our ground & say that we have survived because we are Moose Creek!!! You will never find anyone who works harder than our staff!!! We love our patients & we will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they are taken care of~ Thank you for 7 years Moose Creek Medical!!! We prayed for this!!! Thankful~Grateful~Blessed!!!

We are cheering for all of the Iditarod mushers out there as they journey over 1000 miles to the finish line of the “World’s Last Great Race”!!! We’ll see you in Nome!!!

The first picture is a friend of mine’s daughter & it is the greatest Iditarod picture ever!!! It just goes to show you the character of these mushers!!! They are literally driving the distance from Lincoln, Nebraska to Twin Falls, Idaho~ on a dog sled… in brutally cold, treacherous conditions~ across frozen rivers & mountainous terrain… they will encounter sea ice, overflow & 80mph winds with subzero temperatures~ This musher does not have a minute to spare, yet he made the time to create an unforgettable memory that will be cherished for years upon years to come… He will carry her spirit & energy with him all the way!!! ♥️

The lights are on to celebrate & guide the Iron Dog Racers in!!! Congrats to Team # 7 for being the first to cross the finish line!!! The racers left Big Lake on Valentine’s Day & traveled 2,318 miles~ all the way to Nome & then to the finish line in Fairbanks!!! This is the world’s longest & toughest snow machine race!!! From the mouth of Skipper (the penguin in Madagascar 2): “Grit, spit, & a whole lot of duct tape!”

0338~ I swear to Jesus that these Jackwagons are up to no good!!! I was still working on charts at 3am, so technically they didn’t wake me up~ but they woke up Chip & that in itself makes me angry~ Please stay safe out there!!!

Anybody recognize these people??? They were just in the parking lot at our clinic & the multicolored vehicle left without their lights on~ apparently they can’t read the “No Trespassing” sign either~ We had just left the clinic & were almost home when the alarms went off & we ran back to try to block them in to see what in the crap they thought they were doing but we weren’t fast enough~ on a brighter note, the northern lights are out!

As owner of Moose Creek Medical Clinic LLC, I need to elucidate about recent complaints on “MatSu Who Not To Use” regarding our clinic, our providers, our staff, and our standard of care… Typically, I would utilize my energy elsewhere, but tonight, you are in for a treat because I felt like investigating some of the complaints…

Things we will not apologize for:
~Taking excellent care of our patients!
~Standing strong and not allowing anyone to disrespect our staff, under any circumstances…
~Respecting our patients!
~Working incredibly hard day in & day out to provide our patients the best of the best that healthcare has to offer!

Learning opportunities & fun facts:
~Fun fact: There are always 2 sides to every Facebook comment.
~Fun fact: Your healthcare status can change drastically in a 5 year span & we do require that patients be seen on a yearly basis for nonscheduled medication refills. If our clinic has seen someone twice in 5 years, that is vastly different than stating we constantly required high dollar visits just to get medications. Please, by all means, report us for that! We have zero fear of audits…
~ Fun Fact: If your labwork shows your CBC, ferritin, folate, B12, CMP, thyroid panel to be completely normal with the exception of MCHC 31.2 (normal range 32-36), this does not mean you have any type of life threatening illness. You have a healthy lab panel! There is zero indication that there is anything life threatening & there is zero reason based off of these results for any provider to order iron infusions…
~Fun Fact: Our clinic is not federally funded. We are a private clinic. If you have outstanding balances with zero effort to make payments, do not show up for appointments or cancel without advanced notice to give us time to schedule someone in that appointment time, our clinic could not keep the doors open… My sleuth work tonight uncovered a recurrent theme involving “collections”~ take that for what it’s worth…
~Fun Fact: There is a huge difference between getting discharged as a patient for attempting insurance fraud & a provider saying you are discharged since what the provider is attempting to help you with isn’t working. Our clinic doesn’t work that way. If you are trying to commit insurance fraud, you are not welcome in our clinic and you can guarantee I will report you for it! If our providers are doing everything we can to help a patient with questions/results unanswered, we will assist in referring you to the proper providers/specialists! We are committed to doing everything we can for our patients!
~Fun Fact: If you are an angry adult & elect to throw books, coloring books, crayons & buckets at our staff when you are asked to pay a $3 co-pay, you will be discharged from our clinic!
~Fun Fact: Several people making negative comments have never been seen in our clinic!
~Fun Fact: Defamation is a term that means damaging the good reputation of someone, slander or libel. Defamation can become criminal & is punishable by law.
~Fun Fact: I don’t have any para-legals in my family, but my great gramps was a very prominent judge & my daughter is an attorney. I have many I would consider “chosen family” who are in the legal field. I don’t “tweak” anything. My staff does not “tweak” anything. Our charts are legal documents. The medical field focuses on facts. We take an oath & we stand by that. Our clinic has the upmost respect for our legal teams, our law enforcement, & those in the community who constantly strive to make this world a brighter place!

Thank you once again to our Alaska State Troopers, WPD & Dispatch!!! You have no idea how much we appreciate you!!! We had another Jackwagon come to play tonight~ Chip & I had just left the clinic before midnight when this little Beep Beep came hellin’ in, shut his lights off as he turned in~ opened up his hatch & wanted to come inside~ he didn’t get in~ then gave us some BS story about how he was having problems with his lights, acting like he was checking his blinkers, etc. We just spent yesterday afternoon with the courts again with the last dill w**d that broke in… If you see this guy, please let dispatch/troopers know… he’s either drunk or high… Do not approach him, as it’s hard to say if he has weapons & what exactly he had in the back of his hatch… I’m not sure why we have so much activity lately, but I’m not going to put up with it!!! Good Lord… stay safe out there!!!

And the Gingerbread winner is…. # 1~ the Grinch and a “really close” 2nd with the intricate traditional!!! It was originally “winner takes all” but when there were only 2 entries, we made an executive decision to spice it up & decided 2nd place would receive a participation trophy prize with an extra 12 hours of paid time off!!! Congrats Lori & Olivia!!! You guys are amazing!!!
