😴 National Napping Day

Feeling a little off after daylight savings? Losing that extra hour can throw off your sleep cycle, energy levels, and even how your body feels throughout the day.

March 10 is National Napping Day — a great reminder to let your body rest, reset, and recover after the “spring forward.” And here’s something you may not know: a short nap can actually be more refreshing for your brain and body than reaching for another cup of coffee.

Quality sleep and proper rest play a big role in spinal health, nervous system function, and overall wellness. When your body is well-rested, your muscles recover better, your posture improves, and your nervous system can function the way it was designed to.

So today, give yourself permission to recharge.
Take a short nap, stretch, reset your posture, and let your body catch up.

Your spine — and your energy — will thank you. 💤

World Kidney Day 💙

Today we recognize World Kidney Day — a reminder of how vital kidney health is to overall wellness and daily life.

Your kidneys work hard every day to filter waste, balance fluids, regulate blood pressure, and support your body’s natural healing processes. When kidney health is compromised, even simple daily tasks can become difficult.

Taking care of your body through movement, hydration, proper nutrition, routine health care, and maintaining proper nervous system function through chiropractic care can help support long-term wellness and overall function.

Awareness leads to prevention, and prevention leads to healthier lives. Let’s continue caring for our bodies and encouraging one another to prioritize whole-body health.

Concussions & Brain Injuries Aren’t Always Visible 🧠

A brain injury is often called an invisible injury because symptoms aren’t always obvious. Someone may look “fine” on the outside while still struggling internally.

Common symptoms can include:
• Headaches
• Memory problems
• Difficulty concentrating
• Mood changes
• Sleep disturbances
• Sensitivity to light or noise

Some symptoms appear immediately. Others may take days — or even weeks — to develop.

Early diagnosis and proper treatment improve outcomes. Education also plays a powerful role in reducing stigma and supporting individuals and families navigating recovery.

If you or someone you love experiences symptoms after a fall, accident, or impact, don’t ignore them. Listening to your body is the first step toward healing.

What Is a Brain Injury?

Even mild concussions can affect:
• Focus

March 4 is Brain Injury Awareness Day 🧠

This day reminds us how common head and brain injuries are — and why prevention and education matter.

Brain injuries can affect memory, mood, focus, mobility, and daily life. Common causes include falls, car accidents, sports impacts, workplace injuries, and slips on ice.

While March 4 marks the official day, at BNC we’re expanding this conversation throughout the entire month because brain health is too important to limit to just one day.

Protect your brain. Protect your future.

🧠💙 March 3 is Global Omega-3 Day™

Omega-3s (especially EPA & DHA from marine sources) are essential fatty acids found in every cell of your body — and they play a major role in brain health.

✨ Support memory & focus
✨ Help reduce inflammation
✨ Aid in mood regulation
✨ Support brain resilience and recovery

With it being Brain Injury Awareness Month, this is especially important — nearly 80% of people worldwide don’t get enough EPA and DHA in their diet.

Your brain works hard for you every day.
Fuel it well. 💙

🥗 Let’s All Eat Right Day

Today we recognize Let’s All Eat Right Day, honoring Adelle Davis, a pioneer in the nutrition movement who emphasized balanced, intentional eating.

You may recognize her quote:
“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.”

From a chiropractic perspective, proper nutrition supports the nervous system, muscle function, and recovery, helping the body function more efficiently.

Thoughtful nutrition and chiropractic care work together to support whole-body wellness — one choice at a time.
