Carolyn’s Place Receives $25,000 in Funding from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
WATERBURY, CONN., September 19, 2025– Carolyn’s Place Pregnancy Resource Center, a Waterbury-based nonprofit, recently received a check in the amount of $25,000 from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program.
The funding will help the community based ministry continue to empower individuals through education, comfort and assistance to make life choices related to their sexuality and childbearing consistent with the sanctity of human life.
John Lynch, Carolyn’s Place Executive Director, said that the generous funding is crucial to our continued operation as a Pregnancy Help Organization in the Greater Waterbury Area.
“This November, Carolyn’s Place will be opening a new client service office. Crossroads Women’s Center, its recently announced name, located directly across the street from the existing office, will provide an enhanced client experience. ” he explained.
“Crossroads Women’s Center will provide individuals facing unplanned pregnancy with no-cost pregnancy testing and diagnostic ultrasounds. Our new facility will provide this service, formerly offered to our clients on a mobile clinic, with increased availability, privacy, and reliability. While pregnancy testing, diagnostic ultrasounds, options counseling, and resource advising will now be handled under the CWC brand, Carolyn’s Place will continue to offer hands-on parenting classes and other support programs at the existing office, under its name directly. Both program sites will continue to support the common mission of Carolyn’s Place Inc, founded by Fr. Robert Rousseau in 1992.”
