Since 1898, Southmayd Home has been a place where senior women in our community find safety, warmth, and belonging. 💛

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), every dollar we receive goes directly back into the home and into the care, meals, and community that our residents count on every day. We proudly subsidize approximately half the cost of living for our residents, because we believe no woman should have to choose between affordability and dignity.

That is what giving makes possible.

127 years ago, one woman changed everything for senior women in Waterbury.

Sarah Donaldson started with $10 and a belief that every woman deserves a place to call home. That belief became Southmayd Home and it is still alive today.

This April 21 and 22, we are participating in Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills, a 36-hour community giving campaign that brings local donors, businesses, and nonprofits together for the causes that matter most.
