Feel Good Friday: Earlier this month, over 2000 riders participated in the 14th annual Closer to Free Ride benefiting Smilow Cancer Center. The Rays of Hope, a team comprised of members of the Smilow practice at the Leever Cancer Center, joined in on the action. Since 2011, this remarkable event has raised over $29 million for research and care at Smilow Cancer Hospital.

Approximately 110,000 people are diagnosed with oral, head, and neck cancer every year in the U.S. One of the best ways to catch these types of cancer is through regular screenings. On April 16, the Leever Cancer Center provided free oral, head, and neck cancer screenings to the community, screening 34 high-risk individuals and recommending further care for 20 of them.
