Daniel DeTuccio

Daniel Thomas DeTuccio, age 48, of Wolcott, formerly of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, surrounded by his loving family. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Daniel was the beloved son of Judith (Connor) DeTuccio and the late Sebastian DeTuccio. Before making his home in Wolcott, he was a resident of West Hartford, where he attended Conard High School and later Central Connecticut State University. Daniel was incredibly proud of his accomplishments as a semi-professional mountain biker, a passion that reflected his adventurous spirit and determination.

Daniel was employed at Quality Data Services in Waterbury as a Marketing and Sales Director, where he was deeply respected and loved by his QDS family. To Daniel, his work was never just a job — it was something he poured his heart into every day. His passion, dedication, and warm personality touched everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him.

Above all else, Daniel’s greatest joy in life was his family. He adored his loving wife, Donna (Stodolski) Petruska-DeTuccio, and treasured every moment spent with her. Whether cooking elaborate five-star meals, walking the trails with Donna and their beloved dog Daisy, or simply enjoying quiet moments together, Daniel’s love for his wife was endless and unconditional. Donna loved him deeply, and life will never be the same without him by her side. He was her best friend, her greatest love, and the center of her world.

Daniel was a devoted and loving father to his beloved daughters, Brianna and Lyla DeTuccio of West Hartford, who were the light of his life. He loved his little girls with all his heart and cherished every moment spent with them. Nothing made him prouder than being their dad, and his love for them was endless. He was also a caring and devoted stepfather to Dylan Petruska and Jessica Fonseca, and a loving father-in-law to Matt Fonseca, embracing each of them as his own with unconditional love, guidance, and support. They all held a very special place in his heart. Daniel also shared a deeply special bond with his mother, Judy DeTuccio of Wolcott. He always made sure she was cared for, comforted, and surrounded by love, reflecting the kindness and devotion that defined his life.

Daniel had a smile that could light up any room, and his kindness was contagious. Anyone who met him instantly felt like a friend. He always put others before himself and would do absolutely anything for his family and friends. He loved bringing people together and took great joy in hosting family gatherings filled with music, lights, laughter, and incredible food. His favorite saying, “Go Big or Go Home,” perfectly captured the joyful, generous spirit with which he lived his life.

Daniel was also known for his funny personality and incredible sense of humor. He was always joking, making people laugh, and bringing joy wherever he went. In true Daniel fashion, he would always joke that he wanted his tombstone to read, “Daniel DeTuccio — Work in Progress,” a reflection of his lighthearted spirit and the laughter he brought to those around him.

In addition to his wife, mother, children, and stepchildren, Daniel leaves behind several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and many people whose lives were forever changed by his kindness, generosity, and love.

Daniel will be truly and deeply missed. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave so freely and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Daniel’s life on Friday June 5th meeting directly at St. Pius Church/ St. Basil Parish 517 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott for Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. You may visit with Daniel’s family and offer condolences in person at his calling hours on Thursday June 4th from 4 to 7 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. Claudia Fahy

Claudia (Bossé) Fahy, age 73 of Wolcott, Connecticut, passed away on April 26, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Martin J. Fahy who had just passed 26 days prior.

Born on January 2, 1953, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Claudia was raised in a humble, hardworking family whose values shaped the woman she became. The daughter of Maurice Bossé and Cecile LeBeau, Claudia grew up alongside her sisters, Judith and Lorraine, in Waterbury. Her parents, who came from modest beginnings, her father having roots in Canada, worked tirelessly to provide a better life for their children, instilling in Claudia a deep sense of resilience, discipline, and compassion.

Claudia graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and went on to attend St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Bridgeport, where she became a Registered Nurse. She dedicated the majority of her career to geriatric care, serving in skilled nursing and convalescent facilities. As a nursing supervisor on the 3–11 shift, she was known for being “by the book,” holding her staff to the highest standards because she understood the profound responsibility of caring for others. She was a no-nonsense leader: honest, direct, and unwavering, but also deeply kind and compassionate, always advocating for the dignity and well-being of her patients.

After retiring from bedside nursing, Claudia continued her work in healthcare as a diabetic disease case manager with Aetna, where her knowledge and guidance remained a trusted resource not only professionally, but for family and friends alike. Many turned to her for advice, knowing she would always offer clear, thoughtful, and reliable direction.

Above all else, Claudia was a devoted and extraordinary mother. She and her beloved husband, Martin John Fahy Sr., built their lives around their children, creating a home filled with love, structure, and unwavering support. Claudia was the kind of mother who gave everything of herself, and more.

Claudia faced significant loss throughout her life, including the untimely death of her daughter, Kimberly, who died at a young age after battling chronic illness, and the very recent passing of her husband, Martin. Despite profound heartbreak and her own lifelong health challenges, Claudia never allowed hardship to harden her spirit. She remained strong, loving, and deeply committed to those around her.

She is survived by her children, Martin Fahy Jr., and Erica Fahy and her fiancé Bryan Marco of Wolcott, CT., both of whom were adopted and cherished beyond measure, especially knowing that they were chosen by her to be loved. Her son, Martin Jr., devoted himself to her care, especially in her final days, offering her comfort, dignity, and unwavering love, a task that allowed him a chance to give her the same respect and affection that she offered so freely throughout her entire life. She is also survived by her sisters, Judith Lamontagne of Southington, Connecticut and Lorraine and her husband Richard Joseph of Wolcott, Connecticut, and by her sister-in-law, Eileen Fahy, who looked to Claudia as a mother figure. She also leaves behind three special grandsons: Luke, Liam, and Landon Flanagan, also from Wolcott. She loved them dearly and only wished her health allowed her greater opportunity with them. She looked forward to summers by the pool and building strong memories with them. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews who looked to her for guidance.

Claudia will be remembered as a woman of strength, integrity, and fierce love: a straight shooter with a generous heart, whose presence brought guidance, protection, and honesty to all who knew her. Though her family is heartbroken by this loss, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband and daughter. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She was quick with a laugh, quicker with the truth, and full of love underneath it all.

The lives of Martin J. and Claudia (Bosse) Fahy who passed just 26 days apart, will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday May 17th from 1 to 4 PM at Woodtick Memorial 420 Woodtick Rd. in Wolcott. On Monday May 18th their faith will be honored with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius Church/St. Basil Parish 517 Woodtick Rd beginning at 11 AM and followed by burial in Edgewood Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church for the Mass. Please visit www.woodtickmemorial.com for online tributes and directions.

Martin John Fahy, SR

Martin J. Fahy Sr., of Wolcott, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at his home in Bradenton, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, quiet devotion, humor, and deep love for his family.

At the time of his passing on March 31, 2026, Martin left behind his loving wife, Claudia (Bossé) Fahy; his devoted children, Martin J. Fahy Jr. and Erica Fahy and her fiancé Bryan Marco , both of Wolcott; his beloved sister, Eileen Fahy ; and his three grandsons, Luke Flanagan, Liam Flanagan, and Landon Flanagan, all of Wolcott, who were a constant source of joy, laughter, and immeasurable pride.

Martin was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Kimberly Fahy; his parents, John Fahy and Mary Whelan Fahy, both of Waterbury; and his cherished sister, Patricia Fahy, a beloved elementary school teacher whose warmth and dedication touched so many lives.

Martin proudly served in the Army Reserves, carrying with him throughout life the discipline, loyalty, and sense of duty that defined the man he was. He was also an honorary member of The Knights of Columbus, third degree.

He was the Vice President and co-owner of the family business, M.J. Fahy and Sons, where he dedicated countless hours and years of his life until retiring ten years ago. He poured not only his time but much of his health into the work, always taking pride in doing the job right and making sure the men who worked alongside him were cared for. He believed in showing up every day, working hard for what mattered, and doing right by others. Through his sacrifices, he gave his family a comfortable life and taught his children the enduring value of dedication, responsibility, and pride in one’s work.

Though naturally quiet and private, Martin had a dry wit and a kindness that showed itself in the steady, meaningful ways he cared for those around him. He loved a good Western on a Sunday afternoon, was an avid golf fan and player for as long as his health allowed and was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New York Giants, and UConn basketball. He was also a fiercely competitive Jeopardy! player from the comfort of his living room, rarely missing an opportunity to test his knowledge and enjoy the challenge.

Nothing made Martin happier than his family. He especially loved hearing about the funny stories, adventures, and shenanigans of his grandsons. Their sports, milestones, and everyday moments filled him with pride, and even when his health made it difficult to attend games, he asked about them every day, smiling and laughing at every update.

In the later years of his life, Martin deeply treasured time spent with those he loved most. He enjoyed taking the family out to dinner, gathering everyone together, and sharing meals on the back deck — the kind of ordinary moments that became treasured memories. He was a deeply respected man who always put family first, and his quiet strength, humor, and steady presence will be profoundly missed. And when he smiled, his Irish eyes were smiling. He was worthy of every word written, and he will be missed beyond what words can ever fully hold.
