Measles is back in the news again after a recent outbreak in a Florida school. The virus is wildly contagious and young children are especially vulnerable. That’s why AAP recommends children receive the measles vaccine between 12 to 15 months of age. If your child isn’t old enough to be vaccinated, there are other ways to protect them if an outbreak occurs in your community. We would like to introduce you to our newest team member Kellie. Kellie is a pediatric nurse practitioner. She graduated from Wayne State university with her CPNP-PC. Kellie’s clinical experience consisted of Pediatric Surgery at Royal Oak Beaumont, Pediatric hematology/oncology, as well as Beaumont’s newborn nursery. She worked on the Neuroendocrine unit at Children’s Hospital of Michigan as a Registered Nurse for 5 years. In her free time, she loves reading, spending time with friends and family, and working out. Kellie has always had a love for Pediatrics and cares deeply about each patient here. We are so lucky to have her. Welcome to the team Kellie!

Kicking off our New Year with our next staff spotlight! Corrie is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner here at our office. She attended Wayne State University and graduated in 2019 with her Masters degree specializing in Pediatric Primary Care. Corrie has 2 daughters (ages 12 and 3) and a 7 month old son. She enjoys spending time with family, boating in the summer, and snowboarding. Corrie has a true passion for the health and wellbeing of each child here. Our next staff spotlight goes to another one of our amazing NP’s, Britney! Britney attended the University of Toledo in 2012 receiving her MSN degree. She has experience in labor and delivery as well as postpartum, peds, and NICU. Britney is also a graduate of Oakland University where she received her post master’s certificate for FNP-C. Britney has twin daughters and a son. Her hobbies include spending time with her children, watching movies, and reading books. Britney has a passion for the health of pediatric patients and treats each one as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond for her patients and cares about each family as a whole. Kendra is a graduate of Oakland University where she received her RN,BSN in 1991. She attended Maryville University in 2017 and graduated with her MSN, PNP-PC. She has 6 years of Pediatric ICU experience and has been working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 6 years. Kendra has 5 daughters. Her favorite hobbies include the beach, traveling, shopping at flea markets or antique shops, and spending time with her girls.
