Next up meet, Vanesa Galley NP! She’s here to make checkups a little brighter and help your little ones feel right at home. Whether it’s a high five or a listening ear, Vanesa's got you covered!

Vanesa joined the team at Devyani Khambete M.D. P.C. almost one year ago. She is certified through PNCB as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Prior to obtaining her advanced degree, she worked as an Emergency Department RN.

Vanesa earned her Master’s Degree in Pediatric Primary Care at West Virginia University. Prior to that she attended the University of Cincinnati for her nursing education. She also holds a Bachelor of Science with majors in neuroscience and philosophy from Ohio State University.

She is committed to providing excellent primary care for families. She loves watching children grow up and is honored to be a trusted part of your child’s healthy development.

Starting off your week with our first provider introduction, everyone meet Jayci!

"Hi everyone! My name is Jayci Johnson, and I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner here at Devyani Khambete M.D., P.C. I’ve been part of the team for a year now and have absolutely loved getting to know our amazing families!

I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, where I attended Brigham Young University and completed nursing school at Westminster College. I moved to Michigan four years ago to attend Oakland University, where I earned my Nurse Practitioner degree. My husband, our Bernedoodle Wilson, and I have really enjoyed calling the Midwest home!

I’ve always loved working with kids and teens. Before becoming an NP, I worked as a pediatric dental assistant, oncology nurse, and on the general pediatrics floor at Corewell Health Royal Oak. Outside of work, I’ve been a youth church leader and an assistant high school cheer coach—both experiences that deepened my passion for mentoring young people.

I look forward to meeting you and working together to support your child’s health and wellbeing!"

Measles is back in the news again after a recent outbreak in a Florida school. The virus is wildly contagious and young children are especially vulnerable. That’s why AAP recommends children receive the measles vaccine between 12 to 15 months of age. If your child isn’t old enough to be vaccinated, there are other ways to protect them if an outbreak occurs in your community.
