It was a big day for us ladies!! First day of 7th grade for my loves, and the first day of nursing school for ME!! Between the three of us, there were a lot of nerves, excitement, and sharing about our day this evening! ☺️

I'd be lying if I said this transition doesn't straight up freak me out! My daughters are changing every day moving into teen hood, and taking on the nursing program while managing my own business...well, it's beyond daunting.

AND....I notice how kind, caring, and responsible my girls are while they still glow with childhood innocence (I'm so proud of them).

AND I remind myself of the example I'm setting for them as I work so hard on a business I'm passionate about, while furthering my education so I can create positive change in the world and enhance our financial security.

Today represents new beginnings, new opportunities, and hard work ahead for all of us. And while it's overwhelming at certain moments, I'm so grateful to have these beautiful humans I get to raise, and experience life with ❤️

The Doula Disco this past weekend was fun and informative! It's always invigorating to be surrounded by other birth workers, learning from and supporting each other.

It was a great honor to collaborate with the amazing with , sharing our knowledge and experiences with pregnancy after loss. The energy and vibe between us was electric and natural, and I KNOW we will do more things together...and I can't wait!

Thank you for putting together this incredible event! Doula work is heart work, and we need to continue lifting each other up with love and support. We fill so many gaps, and we need community so we can keep doing this important work with compassion and resilience!

It was my honor to be the keynote speaker on Carrying Hope After Loss at the Bronson Hospital's Milk Bank Bereavement Ceremony this past Friday. Families gathered from all over the state to honor their babies and their beautiful gift of milk donation after loss this past year.

It was powerful and moving. I was in awe of the trees listing the babies' names from over the last 20 years. I wish there weren't so many, AND I'm grateful this tribute exists. It matters.

Meeting some of these parents and hearing their stories was so meaningful and connecting, and I will always cherish the time we spent together. We toured the milk bank, and tears sprang to my eyes to see the amount of milk that's been donated for babies in need.

I watched these families learn about the process and some of the children who benefit off the milk they selflessly donated, and all I could think about is THIS is why it's so important families learn about ALL of their options after loss. Donating milk needs to be offered to every bereaved parent, because it can be such an incredible way for them to honor their baby!! And they deserve that choice.

💫 I’m feeling so grateful and honored to share that my story has been published in the Journal of Patient-Centered Research and Reviews from the Maternal Mental Health (MAMA) Research Project through Henry Ford Health System!

In the article, I am represented as Patient 1, sharing my journey through pregnancy loss before the birth of my twin daughters.💙💛🩷🩷

I first shared my story during the MAMA Project’s Storytelling Symposium, which centered the voices of families navigating grief, maternal mental health struggles, and healing. Now, all of our stories have been formally published to highlight the importance of lived experience in shaping maternal health research and transforming care.

I also had the honor of serving on the MAMA Research Project’s Patient and Family Advocacy Council, helping to develop the research questions and dissemination strategies for this project.I am so grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this project alongside such incredible people!

💕 "I may not remember parts of labor, but I do remember Ashley being there for me." 💕

Choosing a doula can feel like a big decision, but for this mama, it became clear that having support made all the difference.

From setting the atmosphere with candles and music to physically holding her up in the tub while she rested between contractions, I was honored to walk alongside her during such an intimate, personal, and life-changing journey.

Being a doula isn’t just about birth—it’s about presence, comfort, and unwavering support. 💙
