Knockoffs, Counterfeits, Imposters, Decoys...

Most car seats and booster seats are designed and sold by trustworthy, legititmate companies...

However, some noncompliant devices, especially ones presented for sale online by unscrupulous vendors are sadly infiltrating the market...

This week our team @ The Safety Group educated a family on why the noncompliant device pictured here was not a safe option for transporting their soon-to-be newborn. The left side of the photo shows an online picture of the device. The right side is the device as it appeared in person.

(This list is updated annually; while finding a model listed here is a good sign that it is legit, the absence of a model may simply mean it is new to the market, so further research would be necessary).

Location, Location, Location! When life gives you Covid, you find the silver lining! We are still on the L+M campus…just across the lot from our old location in the parking garage…we are so grateful to share resources w/our hard working friends @ the Covid drive-through testing site. We are now bigger (2 sheltered lanes), brighter (overhead lighting), safer (one-way traffic w/lots of orange cones) and climate controlled (heating and cooling). FREE car seat appointments are available on Thursday afternoons from 4PM-7PM and can be made by calling (860.574.9724) or emailing us @ info@thesafetygrp.com
