Being mindful of the way the face ages is so important when injecting filler. Sometimes the original complaint isn’t necessarily the thing that should be treated first. Folds and creases in one area is usually caused by bone and fat loss in another. Treating the symptom without getting to the root cause of the situation can lead to suboptimal outcomes.

This client has had multiple modalities prior to this treatment all directed at treating the face as a whole, not just focusing on one specific area. And most times, rejuvenation of the face is a multi treatment approach, meaning more than one treatment will be needed to get to end goals.

During your neurotoxin consultation, one of the things we discuss is the difference between dynamic and static lines.

Dynamic lines are wrinkles that are there when you make an expression, and these are completely stopped when you add neurotoxin to that area.

Static lines are wrinkles that are present when you don’t make any expression these can be harder to get rid of depending on the severity of the line.

as you can see with this client, she’s had a wonderful react, relaxation of the dynamic lines between her eyes and a beautiful softening to the static lines in her forehead. This is a great example of what a neurotoxin treatment can offer!

When you start neurotoxin treatments after those static lines have etched in, erasing those lines can be quite difficult, if not impossible because they act like scars. So the best time to start receiving neurotoxin treatments is when you start to notice the beginning of static lines forming.

Using the Ferning Technique we chased a few lines, supported the peri-oral area, and gave a titch of hydration to the lip.

The lip filler placed in this case was to not plump the lip, but to smooth out fine lines. Areas on the face are red from being recently injected.

It's time to take your skin health seriously! Regular skin checks are essential for early detection of skin cancer. Remember, early detection can save lives.

Here's a quick guide to the ABCDEs of skin checks:
**A**symmetry - One half of the mole doesn't match the other.
**B**order - The edges are irregular, ragged, or blurred.
**C**olor - The color is not uniform and may include shades of brown or black, or sometimes patches of red, white, or blue.
**D**iameter - The spot is larger than 6mm across (about the size of a pencil eraser), though melanomas can be smaller.
**E**volving - The mole is changing in size, shape, or color.

Incorporate mineral-based sunscreens into your daily routine! They provide broad-spectrum protection, are gentle on your skin, and are effective immediately upon application. Products containing zinc oxide or titanium dioxide are great choices. Don't forget to reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. Let's prioritize our skin health and stay vigilant!
