We didn’t stop moving because we got old—
We got old because we stopped moving.

Here’s what I mean 👇👇

When you were a kid, you ran and you climbed and did some things you might think are silly now. But when was the last time you ran? Or swam? Or lifted something heavier than the groceries?

I’m sure there’s a study done, but I don’t have it: the principle is simple. We can assume, barring major medical conditions, people in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s are stronger and have more durable bone structure than someone who’s 8. Why don’t we act (AND MOVE) like it?

That wasn’t youth — that was movement.
You’re not getting old — you’re getting untrained.
You didn’t “lose it” — you stopped using it.

Go move. Go play. Go become the resilient individual your body is meant to be. That’s how you keep your body young.

Taper isn’t just about swimming less — it’s about getting everything else dialed in.

Your body’s rebuilding.
Your brain’s resetting.
You’re getting ready to peak.

But when volume drops, the small things matter way more.
Sleep. Nutrition. Hydration. Stress. Movement.
Every 1% detail adds up — and that’s what separates ready to race from ready to win.

Now’s the time to make sure everything’s firing clean — hips, shoulders, spine, and the nervous system that connects it all.

You’ve done the work. You’ve put in the yards.
Let’s make sure your body’s ready to show it.

💥 Athlete Spotlight: Aiden! 💪

Tough. Disciplined. Relentless. Three words that perfectly describe this week’s spotlight athlete — Aiden.

A true three-sport competitor, Aiden brings it every season — dominating on the football field, wrestling mat, and soccer pitch. 🏈🤼‍♂️⚽️
He’s the kind of athlete who thrives on the grind — early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. He never takes a moment off. If he’s not in season, he’s training for another sport, and playing club or indoor soccer in his “free” time.

That level of commitment shows up in the way he moves, the way he leads, and the way he attacks every challenge thrown his way. Whether it’s driving through contact, fighting for position, or chasing down a ball, Aiden doesn’t back off — he leans in.

His work ethic in the gym and consistency in care have helped him keep leveling up, season after season. Every rep, every adjustment, every recovery session adds up — and it’s paying off in a big way.

🔥 Built different.
🔥 Moves different.
🔥 Competes different.

Keep doing your thing, Aiden — you’re setting the standard for what it means to outwork, outlast, and out-believe the competition. 📈

“Pain shouldn’t stop you from doing what you love.”
Here’s why — pain is a signal, not a sentence. Your body’s just asking for attention, not telling you to quit. With the right care and movement, we can turn that pain into progress.

How does moving your neck fix your shoulder pain and weakness? 🤯

The nervous system controls everything. Weakness isn’t always about strength—sometimes it’s not in the muscle at all, but it’s about the signal.

No stretching, no adjusting, no strengthening—just targeted repeated movements specific to what her body had a directional preference to. Shoulder strength went from 3/5 to 5/5 almost instantly. 🌟

Like genuinely, 30-60 seconds and we restored full muscle strength and range of motion. That’s how we bridge rehab and performance.

3 posts in the same day is definitely a record for us, but speaking of breaking records.. 👇👇

One of our athletes, Lucy, is up for KCRG’s Athlete of the Week! Follow this link 🔗 https://www.kcrg.com , scroll to the bottom, click on Lucy Parson, and then hit submit. Let us know you voted, and you’ll get a personal thank you from Dr. Dilan! 😉

Lucy is a very dedicated athlete of ours, in and out of the office. I’ve seen her swim 4 (maybe 5.. long season lol) times this season, and each time, she’s broken a record. Matter of fact, I think every time I’ve watched, she’s broken her OWN record. The accolades go on, but we’ll save that for another post. Couldn’t be more proud to help support this amazing kiddo and be in her corner. Cheers to you Lucy, and cheers to you all for helping vote—let’s help her collect another title! 🥂
