At Hope Tree Counseling Services we strive to mend the whole person though holistic counseling that fosters growth and promotes healthy change. We specialize in working with children and families. Hope Tree Counseling Services is an independent out- patient mental health counseling agency located at 314 2nd St. E. Hastings, Mn. Hope Tree is dedicated to serving families in Hastings and surrounding areas. Our office space is designed to promote the healing of nature and we incorporate nature and animal assisted therapists when appropriate. In addition our separate affiliated Hastings practice location offers equine assisted mental health at Innisfree Farm Seeking a fully licensed LPC,LPCC, LMFT or LISW therapist. Experience working with children, youth and families preferred. Required to have professional licensure. Additional training in Grief work, RPT (registered play therapist) EMDR, Somatic Reprocessing, Air Network, AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy, and EAMH (equine assisted mental health) preferred. We desire individuals with an openness to working with nature and animal assisted practices. Interest and/or experience in Equine Assisted Mental Health or general equine experience a plus. Flexibility and creativity are important factors to our work at Hope Tree. This position starts as part time with a minimum requirement of 10 sessions per week with the opportunity to grow to full time up to 30 sessions per week. Must be available to work at least two evenings a week. Seeking unique engaged individuals to join our collaborative creative team!
Successful Candidates:
Will have a dedication to working with diverse populations and a strong multi-cultural competency as evidenced by training, experience and education and/or desire to grow competency in this area.
Are comfortable learning from, and alongside, mental health clinicians from differing backgrounds and degrees in a collaborative and supportive manner.
Have acceptance and openness for a nature and animal assisted work environment that supports and encourages nature and animal oriented interventions in addition to training and practice support of evidence based therapeutic interventions, techniques, and strategies.
Masters or Doctoral Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Masters in Social Work, PhD Psychology
Fully Licensed as a mental health professional in the State of Iowa (LMHC, MSW, LISW ).
Additional qualifications or experience in treating trauma a plus.
Interest and experience in using technology and interest in providing telehealth services
PRIMARY CLINICAL DUTIES:
Complete Diagnostic Assessment and Intakes
Manage psychotherapy notes, intake/ assessment data and treatment plan documentation in EHR
Completing thorough outpatient treatment plans with clear and measurable clinical and counseling goals.
Document all sessions using Theranest Calendar
Individual and family outpatient psychotherapy with timely clinical documentation in the EHR system
Complete weekly billing sheets
Communicate effectively
Demonstrate competent use of DSM-V
Work independently and think critically
Adjust their approach to the specific needs and developmental levels of each client
Perform outreach and marketing to build their client load and generate referrals for counseling
Desire to expand therapeutic knowledge and explore new ways to work with clients via trainings
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including EHR of Theranest, online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.
Must possess the ability to work independently and organize time and task
