As Congress returned from their spring recess, new funding proposals have been emerging that could mean additional cuts to Medicaid, putting home and community-based services (HCBS) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at serious risk.

Medicaid-funded services help people with I/DD live with dignity and independence, and they’re a cost‑effective solution for states. Further cuts would only make things worse.
