📣 New Online Support Group: Join us for Postpartum Rage Support for Moms and Birthing People!

Led by trained peer facilitators, our Postpartum Rage group is here to support moms and birthing people from 2 weeks-2 years postpartum experiencing episodes of intense anger and agitation. Postpartum Rage can look like a sudden explosion of anger, feeling overwhelmed or drowning, and/or being on edge or irritable to the point that these emotions impact your daily life. Postpartum rage is more common than we think and can produce feelings of isolation, guilt, and shame. We want you to know that you are not alone, and no diagnosis is needed to attend.

If you are beyond 2 years postpartum, check out our Support for Parents of One to Four Year Old Children group. The topic of anger and rage is often discussed in that space as well.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS GROUP IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. We allow the first 16 group members to join. Thank you for understanding!

Did you know that PSI offers a FREE postpartum planning class for 2nd and 3rd trimester expectant parents? All expectant parents are welcome: moms, birthing people, non-gestational parents, partners, couples, and single parents. If you are expecting a baby soon, we welcome you to join us.

We will focus on the parents’ mental health and emotional well-being during the postpartum period. The class will include education, interactive discussion, reviewing our postpartum plan, filling out sections of the plan, and resource building. This class is not focused on how to care for baby. This class is about your emotional and mental wellbeing as it pertains to: managing expectations, self nourishment, creating a support network, and understanding the many different perinatal mood challenges that can occur.

Dear Strong Sister

First of all, yes, we are currently accepting new clients.

Second, we want you to understand you are not alone. You have never been alone. Many times you have probably found yourself standing in a room filled with people, maybe even people you know and love, and have felt isolated, scared, stuck, and alone. If you are a woman feeling alone, lost, stuck in a rut, or as if no one understands, please request your initial appointment today.

By requesting an appointment, you will complete some additional information through Emotional Health Partners’ confidential client portal. This will allow us to move forward with scheduling your first session, or we will be able to refer you to an area therapist more qualified to assist you with your needs.

Contrary to society’s interpretation of “strong” vs “weak,” it takes tremendous strength to reach out for help. Let’s work together to move from negative self talk and self doubt to self love.
