My name is Elizabeth Mifflin and I am the owner of Valuable Voices Therapy, LLC. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my vision for Valuable Voices Therapy. I am a wife, mom to 3 amazing boys, speech language pathologist and I love the Lord and try to honor him in every aspect of my personal and professional life. I started providing private therapy when I saw the need arise in my area. I wanted to provide services to parents/caregivers at an affordable price and based on a team approach. We ascribe communicative intent to things children do even before they are born. A mom feels her baby kick in the womb and says “Oh! You are saying hi to Mommy”. We know the joy of communication and we want to experience that with others. My youngest son has struggled with learning, including speech and language development, so I know the difficulty involved in watching your child communicate ineffectively. I also know the success and joy found in working through those trials! My belief is that voices are valuable and communication is a powerful tool. At Valuable Voices Therapy, I provide assessment and treatment for a variety of communication disorders. When we give someone the tools they need to communicate, either verbally or through assistive technology, we empower them. I believe in a team approach, working with parents, teachers and caregivers to provide therapy services unique to each individual child. I have 10+ years of experience serving children with a variety of communication needs in both the public school setting and through private practice. The First 'I Love You'
It is a precious moment when a child unlocks their voice and begins to communicate. It is an unforgettable, heart-filling moment when he uses that voice to say 'I love you'.

Recently, one of our family's got to experience the pure joy of hearing their sweet baby boy say 'I love you' back to them. (The first one was for their eyes and hearts only, but they quickly grabbed a camera and caught the second on video to cherish forever ❤️)

Night after night and tuck-in after tuck-in they wish him sweet dreams and declare their love.....and then, just a few nights ago, he was able to declare it back. ❤️😭

It's an unimaginably HUGE gift for them and for their incredible little man.
I'm so grateful for moments like this. This victory is celebrated by so many including his family, teachers, school therapists, occupational therapists and us. This is why we all do what we do ❤️ Every communication is valuable and everyone deserves a voice ❤️

🦃 We are making turkeys this week 🦃 but my favorite Valuable Voices Therapy tradition began today -- Christmas shopping!! 🥳 🎄
When I started this tradition there were only 6 packages wrapped under a tiny tree. 🎁
🎄 The tree is still tiny, but through the years the number of packages has grown some and I am immeasurably grateful for every little voice they represent ❤️
Every communication is so incredibly valuable❤️....Now stay tuned for some turkey pictures 🦃🎄🦃🎄
