Help and hope.
That is what we give here at Human Support Services.
To the individual who comes through our doors battling a mental illness, Human Support Services is the help she needs to rediscover her best self. Our counselors and doctors are her guides to a renewed sense of wellness and hope for the future.
For the young man with developmental disabilities, we are the second home he has longed for, a place where his abilities are celebrated. Our aides and therapists are the instructors and support he needs to help him become a meaningful member of our community.
Over the last 45 years, HSS has been giving help and hope to the families of Monroe County and beyond.
As our communities have grown in size, HSS has evolved to meet the changing needs, from increasing our residential capacity for clients with developmental disabilities, to expanding our mental health counseling services.
We know a community is only as strong as each of its members, and we’re here for each and every one.
That’s why programs like our work services program, which helps people acquire vocational and independent living skills and experience, are so important.
In every service we provide, we’re simultaneously looking at the needs of the individual and the lasting impact on the big picture.
With help and hope, we’re building a stronger community for us all.
We thank all those who continue to support Human Support Services, and our mission to provide high quality, comprehensive services to Monroe County residents with mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse needs.
