Our second Staff Spotlight for May shines almost a bright as her smile. Please join us in celebrating Sierra Marie Steibel.
Sierra was born on January 16th, 2003, at Belleville Memorial Hospital. She grew up in Prairie Du Rocher and currently lives there. When Sierra was a child, she enjoyed playing softball, camping, fishing, and hunting with her dad.
Sierra graduated from Red Bud High School in 2021. She attended SWIC to get her associates degree and knows she wants to do something in the medical field. We think she will be a great nurse one day and we plan to support her in that journey!
Some of Sierraâs previous occupations include waitressing at Lisaâs in Prairie Du Rocher and being a CNA at the Ruma Convent. When the convent shut down in 2022, Sierra started working here at Garden Place as a Care Partner.
Sierra and her boyfriend Deon welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Rhylen William in September. He is 8 months old and growing like a w**d! He is adorable and has visited Garden Place a few times and met some of the residents. Sierra loves being a mom and wouldnât trade it for anything in this world.
When asked who the most influential person in Sierraâs life is, she said âMy mom Jeanine. She is a great mother, and she is teaching me to be a great mother to my son, and she never hesitates to help! She always has my back, and she has taught me so much.â
Sierra enjoys going to Cardinals games, spending time with her loved ones, and being outside. She has taken Rhylen to 3 games already this season! GO CARDS!
Sierra said that her favorite part about working at Garden Place is âThe residents. New or old, they are the sweetest people once you get to know them.â We hear a ton of compliments about Sierra and how good she is with the residents. She is a hard worker, and we are blessed to have her on our team. Keep up the good work Sierra!
