2001 study in the Journal of Rheumatology found that teachers had a significantly higher death rate from certain autoimmune diseases.

Not because teaching causes illness, but because of what so many educators live in every day: chronic stress. Constant stimulation, emotional demand and very little time to reset.

When your nervous system stays “on” for too long, it doesn’t just affect your mind, it impacts your whole body.

If you’re a teacher or support staff, I know how hard it is to have anything left at the end of the day. The last thing you want is an intense workout.

My newest obsession: propagation 🌱

When we first took over the studio, it felt like stepping into a jungle, greenery draping from the pipes, life everywhere, a wild kind of magic. Somewhere along the way, we lost a lot of that. The hanging pothos slowly faded, and despite the best intentions, we couldn’t quite keep up.

I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately.

So now, I’m starting again. Clipping, rooting, regrowing. One tiny jar at a time. There’s something really grounding about propagation, watching new roots form where something was once cut back. A quiet reminder that growth doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful.

Im bringing the jungle back… slowly, intentionally, with a lot of love.

If you stop by the studio, you’ll start to see little signs of it, glass jars, fresh cuttings, new life beginning again.

Someone has been messing with this plant outside the studio. This is the second time we have had an incident. The cameras revealed that it was a group of young adults/teenagers. They sat outside the studio around 12:30am messing with both the plants outside our space. If you recognize any of these individuals, please let us know!
