Wendy also needed a back up pair of glasses for when she isn't wearing contact lenses so picked out this cute frame in gold with trivex lenses - a fantastic option when she needs to give her eyes a break from contacts, or needs a different choice!

Zach came in looking for a back up pair of glasses that he would be able to use when not wearing his contact lenses and he opted for a frame called Sweet Caroline in a Crystal Gray color. We went with a high index material for thinner lenses with a premium anti-reflective coating and look how good these turned out!

It's spooky season, which means it's time for a PSA on cosmetic contact lenses and their threat to vision health! The American Academy of Optometry and Academy Academy of Ophthalmology released a statement this month explaining that patients using cosmetic lenses from stores or websites without eye care professional supervision or prescriptions have experienced adverse events and complications, including vision loss and serious infections. In 2018, the US FDA evaluated over 300 cosmetic contact lenses and found that 60% of the counterfeit contact lenses and 27% of the unapproved contact lenses were found to have microbial contamination🦠, and were a threat to consumer health and safety. Do you want to help guide Watertown’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebration for 2026? On Tuesday, October 28, you’re invited to the Library to collaborate with other community members and envision an annual Pride event that is special and inclusive. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be provided.

LGBTQ+ members and allies of all ages and family configurations are encouraged to attend! This community kickoff event is sponsored by the Watertown Free Public Library.

Gaze Optical will be closed tomorrow, Saturday October 11th in honor of Indigenous Peoples Day. We're open regular hours today, Friday, from 10am-6pm for eye wear services, and then we'll be back on Tuesday at 10 am. If you're staying local to Watertown this weekend and don't have plans, there is an annual celebration organized by the Pigsgusset Initiative of the on Sunday from 12-3:30 pm at the with crafts, music, dancing storytelling and food.

Tony came into our store looking to get a custom tint on a pair of lenses, and he was on a tight timeline for these. We were able to rush this and get them back to him - he was pleased with the outcome!
