May is . Now that we’ve shared about signs that can help us recognize when it’s time to prioritize our mental health, what are some of the ways that we can do that?✨

• Make time for reflection: Dedicate a few minutes each day to reflect on things you’re grateful for, as well as your mind/body to see if you notice any changes.
• Connect with others: Social connections are essential for our mental health, and you can ask them to help keep you accountable on your mental health journey.
• Make time for yourself: Whether you carve out a specific time or have it on your to-do list, 10 minutes dedicated to yourself will help make prioritizing your mental health a routine habit.

May is . In a world of so many things that we can’t change, it’s always a good time remember the things that we CAN change. Today, let’s learn about signs that can help us recognize when it’s time to prioritize self-care.✨

• Listen to your body: are you experiencing any changes in your body?
• Pay attention to your emotions: are you feeling any emotions more frequently lately?
• Notice changes in your behavior: have your habits changed? Are you avoiding anything?
• Take action for self-care: what works best for you?

Recognizing and listening to our mind and body’s signs that we are getting stressed or burnt out is vital to taking care of our mental health.
Stay tuned as we share different resources throughout the month, and check out Mental Health America in the meantime.

This is a great directive to get in touch with nature and creativity as spring continues to bloom🌺🍃🌱

• Collect leaves and flowers from outside...spending time outside in fresh air is regulating on the nervous
system in and of itself
• Arrange them how you want on a flat surface and place a piece of paper on top
• Grab either crayons or oil pastels and rub it on top of the plants to reveal their outlines and details
• If you want to add more color and depth, paint with watercolors ontop - the water resists the wax/oil of the outlines

Enjoy your creation inspired by mother nature herself ✨

Did you know May is ? 🧠 First introduced in 1949 by Clifford W. Beers of Mental Health America, it was created to promote awareness, provide resources and education, and advocate for mental health.

Whether you're just beginning to explore your mental health or you've been practicing for years, it's always a good time to check in. Our world is filled with factors that we can't individually change (access to resources, current events, etc.), but it's also filled with things that we CAN change.

Stay tuned as we continue to share different resources, and check out Mental Health America in the meantime. ✨

Today marks ONE YEAR since pitching for and receiving the Women's Business Development Council (WBDC)'s Accelerate Grant to create our mobile art therapy studio! A look back on the year, with Genna's pitch narrating what we've now accomplished...

From Karina: For a long time I've been wanting to bring art therapy services beyond the four walls of the office and out into the community. What started as a vision turned into a shared goal with Genna and, thanks to WBDC 1 year ago today, is now a reality. I spend my days driving our art bus to various locations to provide mobile art therapy and the feedback has been unbelievable. This is an absolute dream and I'm endlessly grateful to work with so many incredible clients, to all of the powers that made this happen, and to call this my life. 🎨🩷✨

From Genna: Endlessly grateful to witness the vision Karina brought to life through ArtReach. What began as a wintry evening at the office…brainstorming, spreadsheets, research, and scattered notes…has evolved into a thoughtfully structured schedule devoted to expanding access to art therapy. It’s deeply heartfelt to witness Karina living out her dream in real time. A dream realized through collective effort. Manifestation, it seems, has its place alongside intention and care. Sincere thanks to our community for the trust you offer, allowing us the privilege to witness your stories and healing.
