Hi everybody… my name is Tessi🩷
I have something important to tell you. My foster mommy is very sad while writing this because she loves me very much, but sometimes life changes in ways nobody expects. An elderly family member took a devastating fall and because of all the changes and new needs in the house, it means I need to find a new place to go too. It’s just not an ideal situation for me with all the stuff going on now.
But… maybe this is my silver lining ✨
because it means the community with really push to find my forever family. I’ve been waiting for such long time. But when a foster dog is “easy” and not as urgent as others, it’s easy to be kinda forgotten about!
And honestly? I think my adopter family is going to be VERY lucky because I’m a really, really good girl. 💕😍💕😍
I’m a female pitty mix, 3 years, about 71 lbs with velvet-soft fur & the cutest little prance when I walk. Everybody laughs and smiles when they see it because sometimes I walk like I’m starring in my own fashion show 💁🏼♀️🐾 I have such a silly, sweet personality and I blend in beautifully with everyone I meet. I’m soft and snuggly when you want quiet time, but I’m also playful and fun when it’s time for adventures.
I’m dog friendly, walk nicely outside, and I’m perfectly crate trained. My crate is actually my little bedroom and I LOVE it in there, especially when I get a frozen peanut butter Kong treat. It’s basically my version of self care. I do not like cats because I don’t understand them, so please don’t apply for me if you have cats. Is that too much to ask for? I hope not. 💕
I’m housebroken, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I eat a healthy diet that keeps me feeling my best. Everyone says I’ve absolutely flourished thanks to some basic training from our wonderful friends at Spot-On K9 Training out of Monroe, CT🙌🏻♥️
And guess what? The lucky family who adopts me will receive a training session once I’m settled in! Yes, it’s included. That’s such an incredible gift because every dog and every family benefits from having a trainer set the tone to create the perfect lifelong connection. Honestly, if ALL dogs could start their new lives this way, the world would be a better place. 🐾
Oh — and another sweet surprise… someone who absolutely adores me made a quiet donation toward my adoption fee. So I’m eligible for a reduced adoption fee 🩷 for the right adopter.
Please… if you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your family, today is the day to consider me!!
I’m currently located in my foster home New Haven County (Connecticut) but the BARC CT rescue team will of course transport me for a meet and potential adoption once the right applicant is approved.

More photos and videos of me are in the comments too!!
Love,
Tessi
