Our practice is dedicated to providing Audiology and Physical Therapy services that are customized to meet your needs. East Coast Audiology and Physical Therapy, DBA Watertown Audiology PC s a privately-owned practice that was founded in 1999 by Dr. Sarah Grimshaw-Sugden, Au. She formed the practice to meet the rapidly growing need for professional hearing and hearing aid care in Central and Northern New York. We continue to expand our services and opened Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center – Watertown in October 2017. The practice, led by Dr. Joel Grimshaw, PT, DPT, is the first center in Northern New York to focus exclusively on balance, dizziness and concussion issues while combining hearing and physical therapy experts. In October 2018, we continue to grow with the opening of Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center – Fayetteville.

Our Story

East Coast Audiology and Fyzical Therapy, DBA Watertown Audiology PC, is a medical practice. The Audiology practice was started in 1999 by Dr. Sarah Sugden, Au.D. In 2017, Physical Therapy was added under the guidance of Dr. Joel Grimshaw, PT, DPT. The purpose for combining Audiology and Physical Therapy is to provide a comprehensive treatment program for people with balance and vestibular problems while improving continuity of care. Our practice is unique as there are currently no other practices in NY state that offer Audiology and Physical therapy in the same physical location.

We have expanded our services to include orthopedic rehabilitation, women’s health, and pediatric physical therapy. To better serve the growing needs of our community, we opened an office in Fayetteville, NY in 2017 and Evans Mills (Fort Drum), NY in 2020. As we continue to grow, our mission is to provide high quality, personalized healthcare options to our patients in a time where personalized quality care seems to no longer exist. Our patients are our number one priority and we strive to meet each patient’s individual hearing and rehabilitation needs.
