🌱 Registration for Nature Camp with Therapeutic Animal Friends is live! 🌱

We understand that it may be hard to think about summer camp right now, but finding community, safety, healing, and joy matters more than ever.

Roots and Wings invites youth (ages 6-17) to explore and enjoy nature alongside gentle animal companions, including llamas. This inclusive space encourages children to:

🌼 Connect with their authentic selves
🌼 Relate to peers at their own pace
🌼 Build nurturing relationships with nature

Where: RecuperAcres, Watertown, MN

When: June 15 - 18 (9 AM - noon)

Spent the morning seeding wild rice in the shallows of the lake. I learned recently the avian migration flight path moved from the Mississippi River to now follow the Missouri River all because of loss of habitat. We can do these small things like bringing diversity to the lake, to keep our wild animal friends fed and make our lakes healthier.

We should start to see the Richard’s Rice Paddy by next year, named after our awesome neighbor and donor of the seed!
