Accessibility isn’t about giving someone an advantage, it’s about removing barriers. When we create inclusive spaces, we empower people with disabilities to thrive, participate, and live life without limits. 💚

This Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, we’re breaking down myths and sharing facts that build understanding and inclusion. Together, we can create a world where everyone has equal opportunities.

UCP celebrates International Women’s Day 🌸

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” calls on all of us to embrace collaboration, generosity, and collective progress. Real support means challenging stereotypes, confronting discrimination, questioning bias, and celebrating the achievements of women everywhere.
Today, we honor the women who lead, advocate, and break barriers - including women with disabilities who continue to show the world what a life without limits truly looks like.

Here’s to uplifting voices, expanding opportunities, and empowering the next generation to lead and thrive.

Breaking myths. Building inclusion. 💚

Too often, people with cerebral palsy are underestimated. Let’s challenge outdated perceptions and recognize ability over limitation! When we shift the narrative, we create a world where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, be seen, and be valued.

Together, we can redefine what’s possible and help ensure people with disabilities can live a life without limits.

Green isn’t just a color this month, it’s a movement! 💚

March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. More than 1 million Americans and an estimated more than 50 million people globally are affected by CP. It is the most common motor disability in children, and the most common lifelong physical disability in the world.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day by families in the CP community to increase awareness and visibility, so don’t forget to wear green on March 25th!

Each year, UCP is a proud sponsor of the Vinfen Film Festival, which uses the power of film to raise awareness, foster important dialogue, and fight against the discrimination and stigma so often faced by people with mental health conditions and disabilities.

The Film Festival returns in 2026 with four feature documentaries and one short film, alongside panel discussions with filmmakers, human services professionals, and individuals with lived experience. A reception will follow, giving guests the opportunity to connect and mingle.

During Random Acts of Kindness Week, we’re celebrating the everyday moments that make a world of difference - a helping hand, an inclusive opportunity, a voice of encouragement, a door held open just a little longer.
Every act of kindness helps build a more inclusive community where everyone can thrive. When kindness leads, limits disappear.
