📌For Life Therapy Inc is a privately-owned Physical Therapy practice consisting of a clinic in Watertown and multiple outreach locations in eastern South Dakota. ⭐️Our medical administrative assistant is patient-facing and is responsible for managing patient accounts, coordinating physical therapy appointment schedules across our multiple locations, and communicating information between physical therapists, patients, and other medical professionals. Essential duties include welcoming patients, answering and making phone calls, collecting and documenting patient information, maintaining electronic health records, scheduling patient appointments, verifying health insurance policies, communicating insurance benefits to patients, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations, communicating with other healthcare facilities and professionals via phone, email and fax, processing patient payments, complying with patient privacy laws, cleaning office and treatment areas, and assisting co-staff as assigned. Daily office tasks include emailing, copying, scanning, faxing, and filing.

✅A qualified individual will have excellent verbal and written communication and critical thinking skills, is proficient with the use of computers and office equipment, is familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar/equivalent programs, and must be able to: work independently and prioritize tasks, be flexible to adapt to changing schedules and learning new technologies, comply with confidentiality policies, complete basic math and accounting transactions, manage time efficiently, provide customer service in a positive and friendly manner, attend work regularly and arrive on time, be courteous to teammates.
✅Desired Education or Experience: Education or experience working in a health/medical-related field or clinic, some knowledge of medical terminology and/or health insurance, or experience working as a professional office assistant/receptionist. Training specific to the job will be provided, with on-site support available.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Starting wage: $18.00-$19.00 per hour depending on related experience.
$1,500 Sign-on Bonus.
