In celebration of the Lunar New Year, our residents and staff were taught about different dances are performed throughout Asia. Dressed in traditional garments they showed everyone the different hand placements and which country they originated from. A few staff and residents had a chance to show off their moves. After we enjoy some traditional foods and cocktails that represent good luck in the Asian cultures. Everyone had a great time and good laughs at the associates attempting to dance!

Watertown brought some color to Winter by brightening up people doors. Our flower arranging baskets were a great way to bring cheer to a snowy Winter. Everyone enjoyed helping each other with their themes and lovely conversations in anticipation of Spring! 🌸

Our sister community, Otter Creek in Middlebury, VT, had a packed house for an Intergenerational Reading Event in collaboration with the Vermont Literacy Network. Former Mister Rogers' Neighborhood star, Francois Clemmons, led story time and songs to teach kids about the importance of belonging and community. Watertown celebrated tu'shvat with rabbi Ku**er. In a time of turmoil, it was just what everyone needed. Teaching love and acceptance for all was the theme. Everyone walked away with an herb plant in hopes that grows to its full potential. 🪴
