Sunny, the energetic and playful one-year-old orange tabby cat, recently had an important appointment—his dental procedure. Like most cats, regular dental care is crucial to maintaining his overall health and ensuring he remains happy and healthy.
Sunny's dental adventure ended on a bright note, ensuring he can continue his playful and mischievous ways. Regular dental care is a small investment that pays off in the long run, keeping pets like Sunny healthy, happy, and full of life.

It's National Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) Awareness Day. 🐱

FIP is viral disease caused by a mutated form of the common feline coronavirus. It can present in a "wet form" (fluid buildup) or a "dry form" (organ inflammation) and is progressive and fatal without treatment. Historically considered untreatable, FIP is now treatable with antiviral drugs, though they are not yet widely available and their long-term effectiveness is still being studied.

We are delighted to introduce Anna, a new and cherished member of our Save-A-Life program. Anna has been with us for about a month now, and we are thrilled to see her slowly emerging from her shell. She is a very nervous kitty who requires a patient and understanding companion to help her gain confidence and flourish in a loving environment.
Anna is a sweet but timid cat who needs someone experienced in handling nervous animals. She takes daily medications, so a potential adopter with prior experience with medicating pets is preferred. Despite her shyness, Anna's gentle nature shines through, and we believe she would thrive much better in a home setting where she can receive the attention and care she deserves.
While Anna seems to get along with our older clinic cat, we are currently unsure of how she would interact with other cats or dogs. A gradual introduction and careful monitoring would be necessary to ensure she feels comfortable and safe in her new environment.
If you are interested in providing Anna with a loving home or have any questions about her, please don't hesitate to reach out to Lisa, our Save-A-Life supervisor. You can contact Lisa at (315) 788-1711. We are eager to find the perfect home for Anna where she can continue to blossom and feel secure.

Thank you for considering opening your heart and home to this special kitty. Your kindness and patience could make all the difference in Anna's life. Please share.

Ever wondered how livestock stay warm during freezing NY winters? Farmers provide thick bedding, adjust feed for extra energy, and use windbreaks to shield animals from the cold.

Farming never stops, no matter the season!

In a world where stress and chaos often reign, few things can bring as much joy and serenity as a cuddly kitten. Our veterinary technicians and assistants absolutely adore these little bundles of fluff! Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming a litter of kittens for their very first vaccine and examination, accompanied by their attentive mom.

Onions and garlic are toxic to dogs and cats in every form. Raw, cooked, powdered, or dehydrated - all are dangerous.

These ingredients are found in many common dishes, including stuffing, gravy, casseroles, soups, and sauces. Even small amounts can cause serious health issues by damaging your pet's red blood cells.

Keep all onion and garlic-containing human foods safely out of reach, and remind family members not to share table scraps with your pets.

If your pet gets into these foods, call or chat with us at 800-213-6680. We're here 24/7 to help.
