Her night nurse, Deb, even made those first hours post-delivery feel like luxury.

“She cleaned me up, helped me into a fresh gown, and even tucked me and baby back into bed with fresh sheets,” Monica said. “When it was time for him to sleep, she got him all snuggled up. She was the baby burrito queen!”

We were recently joined by the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce and community leaders to celebrate the expansion of our Senior Behavioral Health Unit.

Our Senior Behavioral Health Unit provides short-term inpatient care for adults 55+. The expansion adds 11 beds—making it Wisconsin’s largest geriatric psychiatry unit—and creates 20 new jobs right here in Watertown.

The expansion of Senior Behavioral Health furthers our commitment to keeping care close to home—in the last five years we've expanded services, upgraded technology, and added providers in areas like primary care, women’s health, orthopedics, cardiology, radiology and more.

Heart attack symptoms aren’t always dramatic—sometimes they start small and build. That’s why it’s so important to recognize the warning signs early and act quickly. 🐝 The BEE Award honors team members outside of nursing who go Beyond Exceptional Expectations (BEE)—and our most recent winner, Mark Justmann, is a perfect example. 🐝

Mark was nominated by co-worker Paige Tyson after stepping up to help an older gentleman who was lost in our parking lot while looking for the Medical Office Building. Paige had begun giving directions when she saw Mark passing by in a Bobcat and asked if he could help. Without hesitation, Mark not only guided the man to the correct lot but also parked, walked him inside, and made sure he arrived safely at the clinic.

This is just one of many times Mark has gone above and beyond to support patients and coworkers alike. His kindness, dependability, and willingness to help demonstrate the very best of Watertown Regional Medical Center.
