Browntail moth hairs can cause skin rashes and respiratory issues. If you start to develop a raised rash after touching a fuzzy caterpillar, hanging your clothes on a clothesline, or being outside, immediately change your clothes and take a cool bath. Our 11th Annual Bethel Rotary/Mahoosuc Kids Association 5k and 1 mile slime run was an epic success on Saturday! More than 100 kids and adults turned out on a perfect late spring day to enjoy the fun and competition. Thanks so much to Healthreach Community Health Centers for their Presenting Sponsorship, to all the Rotary Club of Bethel, Maine, Mahoosuc Kids Association and Masonic Lodge volunteers, to Crescent Park School for hosting and to the 65 business sponsors who supported the event. 100% of the proceeds will be invested back into our community to support after-school and enrichment programs for area youth! Team work makes the dreams work!

Pink means so much more in May…

Last Wednesday, employees across all of our HealthReach sites wore pink to celebrate Women's Health Month!

This month raises awareness for the unique challenges that women face in healthcare. Some health issues that impact women include mental health, reproductive health, cervical cancer, and management of chronic health conditions which may appear differently than they do in men.

Thank you HealthReach clinicians and staff for your continued support for women's health, and for all that you do to keep our communities healthy!

Here are some tips to help you prepare for your upcoming run:
1. Wear comfortable, worn-in shoes and non-restrictive clothes
2. Bring lots of water
3. Plan to have towels and a change of clothes ready for after the race
4. Cover every part of your skin in sunscreen
5. Make sure to have fun! 🏃
