Mark your calendars! Mid-Maine Chamber is hosting a ribbon cutting on Thursday, December 4th at 4:00 to welcome Craig McInnis as the new owner and director of Gallant Funeral Home at 10 Elm Street, Waterville.

Craig took over from his father, Dana, at the end of August but has been working in the industry for 10 years. Craig takes great pride in Gallant Funeral Home's good reputation and is committed to upholding its good name while also supporting our amazing community.

Thank you so much to Pink Crow Collective for taking the initiative to give back to their community. They have gone above and beyond, setting up a food pantry that is open DAILY from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. They accept donations during this window of time as well.

If you find yourself in a position to donate, they take both food and monetary donations. If you are in need, please take advantage of this opportunity.

Yesterday, we brought over some snacks, bread, cooking oils and seasonings, cereal, pasta and sauce, juice, canned veggies, and shelf stable milk. I saw a table full of kits that the Girl Scouts put together to make Sprite cakes. When I was shopping there the other day, in the 45 minutes I was in the store, I saw three different people come in with donations.

Seeing local businesses and individuals take care of the community they are a part of during a time of need is always so encouraging. Keep lifting each other up and lending a hand where you can.

I don’t have words for today. I’m blown away. I opened the doors at 10:53am with the room in top picture and was met at the door by a line of 20 people. By 11:21am, the picture on the bottom is what we had left.
If you are able to donate food, or money to put towards food restocks, our community needs it more than ever, and we are the only ones taking care of one another right now

Kids snacks (crackers/gummies/fruit cups/granola bars/applesauce)
I am so grateful for everyone who has already made this project possible and aided in helping the families we already have just in the last hour, I couldn’t do it without you guys 🫶🏼

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Their commitment to protecting our freedom will never be forgotten.

At Gallant Funeral Home, we are deeply grateful to our veterans and their families for their service. This Veterans Day, we would also like to recognize and thank our very own Dana McInnis for his service to our nation. We are proud to have him as part of our team and grateful for all he has given — both to our country and our community.

We remember and honor all who have served. Your legacy of honor lives on. ❤️🤍💙

Join us as we send off our Waterville Panthers Football Team to the playoffs! Let’s line the streets, cheer them on, and let these players know how proud our community is of all their hard work, dedication, and heart this season.

🕒 Time: cars should be lined up by 9:45
📍 Location: We will line from the high-school where they depart, a small part of western Ave, and all the way down cool street to CVS.

Bring your signs, your noise-makers, and your Panther spirit! Let’s make sure our boys feel the love as they head out to represent Waterville in the playoffs. 💪🐾

🎃✨ What a Spooktacular Night! 👻🍬

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our Trunk or Treat event! We had an amazing time seeing all the creative costumes, decorated trunks, and smiling faces. 🧡

Your support and community spirit made the night truly special — from the little ghosts and superheroes to the families and team members who helped make it all happen. 🙌

We loved celebrating Halloween with you and can’t wait to do it again next year! 🎃🕸️

It was nice to see our friends at the South End Teen Center show up in Halloween spirit!!
