What difference does using a stool make? — Sitting in a stool, like a Squatty Potty, can help you p**p faster and with less strain. Research shows that squatting can lower abdominal pressure and straighten out the re**um.

One study found that squatting created an angle in the re**al ca**l that led to less strain. — Squatting relaxes your pubore**alis muscle more and straightens out your colon, giving the p**p a straight route out. As a result, you can go more easily with less straining.

Hemorrhoids! Everyone has them 🫐

More than 50% of people experience the symptoms of hemorrhoids at some point in their lives. It’s more common as you age.

What are hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are natural formations located in the a**s. They are filled with blood and help to seal the a**l ca**l – while the sphincter muscles regulate the process of excretion. Hemorrhoids only become problematic when they don’t function properly

If you are experiencing any symptoms such as re**al pain, bleeding, discomfort, itching, swelling on constipation, please call our office to schedule a visit with our nurse practitioners and we will be glad to help you with your next step!

Recommendations? Dr. Qadri may recommend a sitz bath, wet wipes, stools or bidets in many cases.
