Trevor Noah is spot on: "Women are QUESTIONED for what is happening to them as opposed to people questioning what is happening to them". As a therapist, I see some version of this in women's lives way too often. I also know that often the worst of an abusive or trauma situation is NOT WHAT happened, it's WHAT DIDN'T happen which is when people and institutions don't step up to believe the victim or to protect the vulnerable.
