Noise exposure, earbuds, concerts, work environments, and everyday life can all impact your hearing over time. Many people start experiencing changes much earlier than they expect.

Protecting your hearing now and getting it checked when something feels off can make a big difference later.

One thing many people do not realize about hearing aids is that they need regular cleanings to work their best.

We recommend bringing them in every three to four months for a professional cleaning. These visits are quick and easy, and we do our best to see patients the same day or the next day if possible.

During the appointment we place the devices in an industrial dryer to remove moisture, sanitize them, replace domes and filters, and vacuum out the microphones. Most patients notice an immediate improvement once their devices are cleaned and refreshed.

These appointments usually take about 15 to 30 minutes, and we also use that time to help with anything you may be experiencing. That could include adjusting settings, troubleshooting Bluetooth connections, or answering any questions you have.

Our goal is simple. We want you to leave hearing better and feeling confident with your devices, while knowing you have a team here to support you every step of the way.

Helping children with hearing concerns is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Sometimes parents bring in toddlers who are not speaking the way they should yet. It can be stressful and confusing when you are not sure what is going on. Our goal is to gently work at the child’s pace and figure out what might be affecting their hearing.

We start with simple checks like looking in the ears, testing for fluid, and running quick hearing screenings. For kids, testing often becomes a game. They may raise their hand when they hear a sound, drop a block in a basket, or watch fun cartoons that play when they respond to a tone.

Many times the result is reassuring. Some children do not have hearing loss at all. They may simply have fluid in their ears that can be treated by an ENT.

When that happens, it is amazing to see the difference. Parents often come back a few months later saying their child is talking more, communicating better, and thriving in ways they were not before.

Hearing plays a huge role in speech, learning, and communication. When we can help a child hear clearly, it can make a world of difference for their development and their confidence.

When hearing loss goes untreated, conversations become frustrating, social events feel exhausting, and it is easy to start pulling away from the moments that once brought you joy.

The good news is you do not have to navigate that alone. Getting your hearing checked is simply the first step toward reconnecting with the people, places, and experiences that make life full.

One of the most common questions people ask is how do I know when it is time to get my hearing checked?

Many patients say the same thing when they come in. Their spouse, family member, or friend encouraged them to schedule the appointment because they noticed something before the patient did.

That is actually one of the first signs. Other people may notice changes in your hearing before you do.

Another common sign is difficulty understanding speech, especially in background noise. You might hear people talking at a restaurant but struggle to understand what they are saying. Many people find themselves sitting back, smiling, and trying to get through the conversation.

You may also notice that you keep turning the television up but the sound still is not clear. Or it may feel like everyone around you is mumbling.

Ringing or buzzing in the ears is another sign that often gets overlooked. This is called tinnitus and it is commonly linked to hearing loss.

If any of these sound familiar, it may be a good time to have your hearing checked.
