You know that Monday feeling? Waking up with dread, a weight on your chest, or “the mountain of to-dos is higher than I can see, and I haven’t even put a foot on the floor yet” feeling.
Waking with these physical and emotional feelings makes the slide into more unhelpful thoughts and habits even easier.
Yet, if we build awareness.
And pause.
Still no foot on the floor yet.
We can shift it just enough {one little degree is all it takes} to offer another path for the day.
How? Do one tiny something to hold the pause….
✨ Take 2 deep breaths….blowing out your exhale like your blowing out of a straw, nice and slow.
Or
✨ Gaze at something in your room. Just for 30-60 seconds. Really observe it. as you find this object to let your gaze rest on, drop your shoulders, wiggle your jaw, relax your breathing. What do you notice about the object? Keep going. Keep noticing details, colors, textures, sounds. Oftentimes once you’ve let yourself gaze…you’ll find a little message has come for you. A metaphor or reminder of how the day can shift when you pause.
Or
If you’re busy mind led you to forget you have love living right in your bed with you, pause and
🐶 Snuggle into your pillow, your sweet pet, or your loved one and breathe in the gift of living life where Love exists.
May your Monday have more ease.
May your Monday carry you in a way that reminds you that time is indeed on your side.
May your Monday give you glimpses of what truly matters to soften your hands in the doing.
May your Monday set a tone for your week that is rooted in a gracious heart and mind.
May it be so.
