We provide family-centered care that addresses the emotional, practical and financial struggles for families of children and teens during treatment, families experiencing anticipatory grief and those who are bereaved. We envision a community where every child with a serious or life-threatening condition has a strong, supported and informed family empowered to fully participate in their care.

Just a few highlights from our amazing Saturday night under the big top! 🎪❤️

Our Jacob’s Heart Soirée was a fantastic night filled with lively entertainment, fun games, delicious food, and incredible generosity all in support of our kiddos battling cancer! We are truly grateful to every attendee and sponsor who took the time to support our families. Every single dollar raised helps provide transportation to lifesaving medical appointments, access to and delivery of nutritious groceries, and vital emotional support and therapy, so families can focus on caring for their child. Thank you for making it possible for us to continue this important work at Jacob's Heart.❣️

We’re incredibly grateful to Jayson Stebbins for serving as our outstanding emcee and helping make the entire event such a success. A special thank you to the Zach Powers Quartet for setting the tone with vibrant energy and incredible musicianship at the start of the evening. We also appreciate Elise Hing for delivering an amazing contortionist performance that kicked off our program so beautifully. Thank you to Jose Bautista for keeping the music lively all night and getting everyone on the dance floor. We’re very thankful for our dedicated volunteers, whose help with setup, event flow, and cleanup ensured a seamless program. ✨

We are so excited to announce some special news!

Starting April 1st, Erik Lua will be joining our Jacob’s Heart family as our new Chief Executive Officer! As CEO, he will support our families as they navigate the difficult journey that pediatric cancer brings, ensuring Jacob’s Heart provides the love and care they need. He will lead strategic planning and financial management, oversee our dedicated staff, and continue to strengthen community partnerships. We are excited for this next chapter with Erik and can’t wait to see where he takes Jacob’s Heart!

On Saturday, April 4, Lua will attend Jacob’s Heart Soiree at The Grove where he will introduce himself to the loving community of our supporters. If you are interested in attending, tickets are available at the link in our bio!

Today is Social Worker Appreciation Day! 💖

We want to take a moment to celebrate our Family Support Specialists and all the amazing work they do at Jacob’s Heart. This dedicated team is the one that works directly with our families, walking alongside them as they battle pediatric cancer. They help each family navigate the unfamiliar and support them through all of the ups and downs that this journey brings. This work is not easy but we are grateful to have a team that shows our families love and support while they go through some of their hardest moments. 💗🎗️

As the weather gets warmer and spring is quickly approaching, we are working on getting our Caroline’s Closet stocked up! ✨

If you did not know, our Family Center has its very own Caroline’s Closet for our families to shop, free of charge. We fill this area up with different types of clothing and household necessities so families don’t have to worry about buying these things. Right now, we are needing help with stocking up on these items for our families:

🌟New or gently used clothing (men’s, women’s, teen boy and girl, 2T-12T)
🌟New or gently used kitchen items (plates, cups, pots/pans)
🌟New household items (detergents, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, cleaning supplies, blankets, bedding)
🌟New socks (all sizes from toddler to adults)

If you have any donations for our Caroline’s Closet, please drop them off at our Family Center, Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm. We appreciate any support, these items make all the difference for our families as they battle pediatric cancer. 💛

Ring, ring, ring 🔔 another bell has been rung! 🌟

We want to say a huge congratulations to one of our Jacob’s Heart kiddos, Christopher, for celebrating his end of treatment on Tuesday! 🎉 Christopher was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2023, with his family joining Jacob’s Heart shortly after in May 2023. We have had the privilege of supporting Christopher and his family for nearly three years, and standing by their side during this incredible celebration was a meaningful milestone for everyone involved. ❤️

Please give a huge round of applause to Christopher for this amazing achievement! 👏 Your Jacob’s Heart family is so proud of you!✨ ❤️

Our Valentine’s Art From the Heart day was full of crafts, smiles, and so much love! 🩷

On Saturday, we held our first Art From The Heart of the year. Kiddos and parents got to participate in different Valentine’s themed crafts like creating cards, friendship bracelets, magnets, and bookmarks! 🎨 It was great bringing our families together for a fun day of Valentine’s day crafting and having some fun making different art pieces! 💗✨

We’re grateful to offer meaningful experiences of love and belonging for families who are navigating pediatric cancer or are in remission, because once a Jacob’s Heart family, always a Jacob’s Heart family. 🌟

Seeing these quotes from our families makes our hearts feel full! ❤️

Our Full Hearts program delivers healthy, nutritious groceries for our families twice a week. Whether it lifts the burden of grocery costs, food insecurity, or even access to fruits and veggies, we know that each food item makes a difference. 🥗 When you are battling pediatric cancer, the last thing you want to worry about is getting food on the table for your kiddo. We are grateful that we have our Full Hearts program at Jacob’s Heart to help relieve that burden. ✨

It is our 28th anniversary! ❤️🎂

To celebrate, we wanted to hear from our amazing kiddos, families, volunteers, and supporters! Their sweet messages are proof of the love and joy that goes into the work we have been doing over the past 28 years. Thank you to our amazing community for standing beside us as we support kiddos with cancer and their families. This work exists because of you. Every hour volunteered, every card made by hand, every grocery bag delivered, every dollar donated, and every family welcomed into Jacob’s Heart is a reminder that our community shows up with compassion and care when it matters most. 🌟
