Watsonville Community Hospital proudly sent a stellar team to the 2025 American Delirium Society Conference in Nashville to share our work in person-centered, evidence-based delirium care.

Delirium is a sudden change in mental status—often mistaken for confusion—that affects nearly 1 in 3 hospitalized older adults. If not recognized and treated early, it can lead to longer hospital stays, serious complications, and even death.

Our team is leading efforts to prevent and manage delirium with compassion, science, and collaboration. Representing Watsonville were Respiratory Therapist Robert Hord, Clinical Nurse Educator Cecilia Ayala, Physical Therapist Milo Small, and Hospitalist Dr. Clay Angel. 💙

As we expand our imaging services and invest in new radiology technology through Measure N funding, we are thrilled to welcome a new radiology team of experts led by Dr. Keith Kwok. This new group of radiologists brings expertise in neuroradiology, body imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, nuclear medicine, emergency radiology, mammography, and vascular/interventional radiology.
