Growing Social provides therapeutic, educational camp sessions for those with social learning challenges (including high functioning Autism, Aspergerʼs Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, NVLD, and those without a formal diagnosis but who struggle socially) in a safe, engaging outdoor environment. Gardening, cooking, and other related group activities are used as vehicles to teach and practice social learning concepts and develop executive functioning/organizational skills. In small groups carefully organized by age and skill level, students build self-esteem, experience direct success, and increase their confidence in the social world. For older students, this engaging, multi-modality program is a fantastic, hands-on way to cultivate independent living skills and social-vocational learning. Services Offered Through Growing Social:
• Therapeutic Camp Sessions including small group and individual sessions,
ages K-adult
• Community "Hang Out" Camps for teens
• Consultations for parents, program development and school support
• Family and professional community events
