I made one small mindset shift this year that changed everything.
Instead of saying, “I’m just not good at XYZ,” I started saying ➡️ “I am the type of person who can learn anything.”
That simple identity shift spilled into nearly every area of my life and opened the door to opportunities I never would have expected. And it’s a strategy you can use going into the New Year, especially when it comes to your health.
Instead of chasing New Year’s resolutions, try centering your mindset around who you want to become.
Goals focus on what you want to do. Identity focuses on who you’re becoming. When your habits align with your identity, change lasts.
✨ Examples:
• “I want to get healthier this year” ➡️ I am the type of person who is disciplined and treats my body well
• “I want to move more” ➡️ I am someone who prioritizes daily movement
• “I want less stress” ➡️ I am someone who protects my nervous system and sets good boundaries
Small choices, made consistently, reinforce who you believe you are, and that’s what creates lasting change long after the New Year.
