I drew the normal daily Sinister Affirmation. I've been getting a lot of duplicates lately so I don't necessarily post every day. Today I decided to draw some Witch Runes to practice and see what I need to know most today.
Witch Runes aren't something you see a lot of people using and I love exploring other divination tools besides the cards. I also read Norse Runes. I just don't do it very often.
Witch Runes began in the 1970s and gained some popularity. There was a book written in 1998 which brought them back into the "mainstream". They're meant to be a no frills method to give insight into what's going on.
The runes do have similar meanings to other cards and tools. For example, the Star (which is the rune in the bottom left) is similar to the Star in Tarot. Hope, Wishes coming true, Happy ending. Star in Tarot is a bit more cleansing as she washes away the dust and dirt from the Tower's collapse. I still get the same general vibe from them both.
For this reading, I put my hand in with the runes while focusing on my question and then dumped them out. These are the runes that showed face up. Harvester is at the top (rewards, reaping what you sow). To the left, The Waves (going with the flow, spiritual connection, feeling like you're not the one in control). Top right, The Man (Action, Strength, Provider, Stereotypical Male Role and characteristics). The Sun (Something new, positivity, good decisions, a good ending to something). Scythe (final decision, sudden ending, sudden changes).
The general meaning I get from this, using the positions of the runes and how it's somewhat of a timeline. I feel like Harvester is the main rune. So right now it's important to just go with the flow and not try to force your will on the universe and let it go so to speak. This will turn into the star, which means that a breath hope and light at the end of the tunnel. After floating in choppy waters and just trying to stay afloat, calmer energy enters the picture. This is when you really need to focus your energies on manifestation and working on your vision for the future. Next is the transition to The Man. The man means you need to have strength and confidence in yourself and vision and where you want to go. This will result in a positive ending to where you were and beginning the next chapter. The chapter could have a very sudden ending but all of the positivity overwrites the negative connotation of the scythe and the danger it could bring. The sun and star soften the warning and means it will be a difficult change but it will all be worth it in the end.
If you're interested in a Witch Rune reading, let me know. As I need the practice I'm offering a single throw for $15. DM me with Witchy and I'll know you read this post. Blessed Be!!
