In Loving Memory of Matilda Angela Lopez
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Matilda Angela Lopez, who departed this life to rest in paradise at the age of 64.

Affectionately known as Mati by many, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Born on November 25, 1960, Mati spent her life selflessly caring for others, always offering wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support.

Matilda is survived by her loving husband, Carlos Lopez, and her children: Marisol, Jose, and Alex. Her caring in-laws: Pito, Rosa Lissette, and Bianca her cherished grandchildren: AJ, Jayden, Joseito Jr., Elijah Misael, Alex Jr., Alize, Rocco, and Decimus, her two beloved great-grandchildren: Nathan and Eliana Maeli along with many others whose lives were blessed by her love and compassion. Her kindness and strength touched countless lives.

In her final moments, Mati held fast to an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and reassured us that she was ready to meet Him. While our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing that heaven has gained a graceful soul. Today, we choose to celebrate a life so beautifully lived.

Matilda will be deeply missed by her children husband family and all who knew her.

Visitation services for Matilde will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 1025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.

All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her memory.

It warms our hearts when families take the time to visit Our Lady of Guadalupe, located in the northeast corner of our building.

Originally from Shrine of Our lady of Guadalupe, in Des Plaines. Our funeral home became her new home in 2020.

She was our hope and promise for all the families who lost loved ones during the pandemic.

We wanted to create a sacred space outside where anyone can visit at any time — a place for reflection and prayer—regardless of church affiliation.

To our community, take the time to pray, have faith, and trust that she is with us, always.

Luis Armando Espinoza Contreras, de 20 años de edad, falleció inesperadamente el día 17 de junio de 2025. Luis nació el 24 de diciembre de 2004, hijo de Luis Armando Espinoza Rivera y Saira Esmila Contreras Dias. Le sobreviven sus padres, sus tías y tíos, primas y primos y muchas amistades con quienes deja lindos recuerdos.

Ahora Luis se encuentra en esa paz eterna. Su velorio será el dia Sabado, 28 de junio de 2025 de 4:00 pm a 9:00 pm en la funeraria The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.

Su traslado hacia Honduras, será el día Lunes con entrega a su familia el día Martes 1ero de julio 2025. Su santo sepelio será en el Panteón Municipal de Guamiles, en Guamiles, Silca, Olancho, Honduras.
