Jordan J. Jeffery, born December 27, 2006, of Puerto Rican and African American descent, passed away on October 16, 2025.

Jordan was known for his fearless spirit and his passion for living life to the fullest. He
was never afraid to take risks and constantly pushed himself and those around him to
reach their highest potential. Intelligent, ambitious, and deeply faithful, Jordan was a
true believer in God and carried himself with the strength and purpose of a leader.

He had a way of lighting up every room he entered. With his bright smile and positive
energy, he made people feel seen, valued, and uplifted. Jordan touched everyone he
met through his kindness, his joy, and his unshakable belief in others. Whether on the
field or simply living his life, Jordan embodied leadership, courage, and heart.

He is survived by his mother, Johanna L. Rivera; stepfather, Edward Torres; three siblings, Jazlin McPherson, Angel L. Rivera, and Joel L. McPherson; grandmother, Myriam Hill; as well as aunts, cousins, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Angel L. Rivera; great-grandparents, Cruz Baez, Luis Rivera, Luz Maria Rosario, and Felix Hill; and cousins, William A. Rivera, Sergio J. Berrios, and Daniel R. McPherson.

His visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, located at 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. Jesse Flores, 71, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on September 24, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1953, in Michoacán, México, to Amador Flores and Rosa Castro. Jesse is survived by his daughters, Karina Flores (and son-in-law Jorge Ziyadeh), Melissa Flores, and Carmen Flores; his grandchildren, Julian, Nadia, and Elena; his sisters, Estela and Marta; his brothers, David, Ignacio, Genaro, and Alfonso; and his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love of music, and the way he could captivate everyone with his stories and jokes.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, with a private cremation to follow.

Javier Salas, born January 26, 1966, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, MX, passed away on September 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 59.

A life-long mechanic with a talent to troubleshoot and fix anything, he proudly worked as a maintenance and set-up mechanic for D & W Fine Pack at the time of his unexpected passing.

He was a devoted father of six children—Luis, Claudia, Erika, Cindy, Javier Jr., and Laura-and a grandfather to 9-all of which were his greatest source of pride and joy. A loving, caring, and generous man, he dedicated his life to providing for his family and ensuring that they always felt supported and cared for.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel, and his mother Fidencia, whom he cared for throughout their lives. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Leticia, and siblings Dora and Roberto.

Javier, known for his warm smile and can-do attitude, enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was fixing, building, or creating—always pouring his heart into everything he did. He loved sharing his knowledge with anyone who had the desire to learn. He also cherished his time away on vacations, making memories with his loved ones that will forever be treasured.

Javier leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, and all who were blessed to know him.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, a reminder of the joy he brought and the love he shared. "Salud por Lupe."
