💪🏻... Strength training is increasingly linked to longevity. Research shows that regular resistance exercise not only helps maintain muscle mass and bone density as we age, but it also reduces the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers.

✊🏻... One particularly interesting finding is the connection between grip strength and lifespan. Studies have found that grip strength is a surprisingly strong predictor of overall health and mortality. In fact, lower grip strength has been associated with higher risk of death from all causes, independent of age, body size, and other health factors. It's often used as a proxy for overall muscle strength and function.
