Today we celebrated National Volunteer Week by honoring all of the Avalon Square resident and community volunteers with a “Bee” themed luncheon and presentation by a local hobby beekeeper!

Volunteers are the Bees Knees! 🐝❤️

They give of their time and we are very blessed to have all of the volunteers who help our mission daily!

Spring is here and so are the baby animals! Platinum Sky Farm visited the residents today with their baby goats just 5 days old and tiny 3 week old kittens! Residents throughly enjoy all the wet kisses and fuzzy snuggles!

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month! Avalon Square is thrilled to join the National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) for today’s event - Pump it for Parkinson’s!

This nationwide event connects senior living providers across the country to raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease and highlights how exercise can ease Parkinson’s symptoms many experience daily.

We are excited to host a NuStep-A-Thon in the lobby, challenging our residents and staff to contribute to the nationwide goal of 50 million steps!

Avalon Square residents had a blast and many joined in the fun for a great cause counting an all time high of 134,083 steps! Thank you all for your enthusiasm and efforts for this year’s NuStep-A-Thon!

Much joy filled the room for Mackenzie V., beloved staff member and physical therapist, as the residents celebrated in anticipation the arrival of her first baby!

Shower games, baby bingo and some snacks made the afternoon so much fun!
